I have a short attention span for video games anymore due to my adult life, so even classic Zelda titles like Ocarina of Time just don't work for me- by the time I'm really in the thick of playing what feels like a Zelda game (and not the introductory part of a Zelda game), I'm already burned out on it, and I just don't feel like the time investment is worth it. Not so here- the game lets you just 'play' almost right away, and the fantastic auto save allows for both experimentation and short-term play. Highly immersive, gigantic, and fun to play. Load times are longer than I'd like, but they're not awful and I probably see more of them because sometimes I think it's fun to try to throw myself into a dire situation and try a few times to fight my way out. Highly recommended.

I loved the open world direction the series took in BOTW. The world is alive and full of things to explore and do and multiple ways to defeat enemies and bosses. This is simply a must-have for your switch collection.

If you can think of it, you can do it, within the universe of the game. "Say, I know I can ride a horse--can I ride this deer?" Yes. Not required to have played previous games, and by far the best I've ever played. No barriers to picking it up for the first time but rewards for practice. Everyone I know has put in over 100 hours of gameplay, and the limits are that of your imagination. Follow the main quest or stare off into a direction and see what happens. It's great, but also overwhelming. It feels like a world as limitless as any, and it's equal parts great and scary. But give it a try! Some have called it the greatest game ever made.

BotW is a fantastic open-world game with a great story, beautiful setting, and fun gameplay. Hunting, gathering, battling, exploring, solving the shrine puzzles, completing quests - there's so much to do. Highly recommend

This game has been in the works for a long time, but the wait was worth it. This game is the most immersive Zelda game yet. There is so much to do and the story line is great as well. Must have for any Nintendo fan. 10 STARS!

Get this if you have any interest in open-world exploration and discovery. I've played 15 hours and barely scratched the surface. Just having fun wandering around, finding treasures, and fighting enemies.

Great title. You can spend a lot of time in this game. Lively world, great for casual and hardcore gamers. If you have a switch, this is a good title to purchase no matter what other games you may have.

Got this for one of my boys and he loved it. Great graphics and throwback nod to old Zelda games. Love the open world format. Only thing is that it is a short game especially for the cost. This new console version of Zelda now follows in the same steps as "other" console games where you buy into Season passes (which are only gimmicks to spend more money of what could have been included especially to help in marketing a new hybrid console/handheld). But both my boys love the game so....

This is definitely my favorite Zelda game to date. It's got beautiful graphics and excellent gameplay. This will be a game that I return to again and again after I've finished it. There is so much area to explore, and a lot of extras hidden throughout the game. I bought this to play on my Switch, and I feel like if you really want to put your new handheld device to the test, this is the game to do it with. Zelda: Breath of the Wild exceeds all my expectations. This game also looks superb when you've docked your Switch and are playing on the big screen.

I bought this game because someone left a rave review stating that this was the greatest game they have ever played. I 1000% agree. I can't write a review to do this game justice. Yes the game has beautiful graphics but the best part is the phenomenal level of freedom in play. There are such a wide variety of enemies, quests, shrine challenges, and you can pretty much complete them in whatever order you want. The level of detail is unparalleled. I wish I could play this game from the beginning again. Just buy it. You will not regret it.

5/5 Stars, a truly great game. NOT in my top 5 Zelda games, but that speaks for the quality of the series. I highly recommend the game. It is great and the feeling of exploration is grand. Something that can only be captured by the Zelda franchise. Contrary to other reviews, the game DOES have flaws. It's just... They are so minor while the rest of the game is so great. There is plenty of literature out there with full reviews. I highly recommend you purchase the game if you like ADVENTURES and LONG PLAYTIMES. If you like brief stories... This isn't for you. The amount of time required to get to and beat the first boss of the game is about the length of an average FPS story mode. If you are looking for big 'splosions and long cutscenes of exposition, stay clear.

I have been playing this game for some time now and the graphics in this game is great and the scenery in the game is amazing and the story line is pretty good.

The game starts off slow but then gets really interesting once you past the first few areas the amount of places to explore and The items that are one is able to use is great. Great Game

If you like Zelda games, you'll love Breath of the Wild. Awesome open world, amazing gameplay, and the art direction is fantastic. Can't say enough good things about this game. A must-have for the Switch.

Any zelda game that comes out will be a big hit. Recommend anyone who loves free roam games and puzzles and dungeons to explore. Hours of playing for this game for sure!

I’ve been a Zelda fan all my life. This game execution is incredible Is the longest game in Zelda history. Really enjoyed the open world. Which you have the option to go anywhere and play the story your own way.

This is a wonderful game, allowing a completely open world platform, visually stunning experience. Zelda gaming has certainly grown up from 2D platform NES days. Time bring a classic favorite to new technology.

This game has been non-stop fun since I picked it up on release day. Huge open world, great combat, great story and pretty visuals. I am 50+ hours in and still have a lot to do. This game is a must have on Switch or Wii U.

It's been several years since I last played a Zelda game but I have to say this is probably one of the best games I've ever played and by far the best Zelda game ever produced. The graphics and gameplay for a handheld are impressive and Nintendo has really outdone itself... perhaps to make up for losing gamers after it's last attempt at a platform release. The game itself is great for kids but also challenges adults with the expected puzzles Zelda has always had to offer. The massive amount of weapons and upgrades you come across definitely keep you coming back and you'll learn that trying new recipes when cooking up elixirs can even be fun and challenging. If you already have a Switch, this is a must have and one of the best launch games in the history of gaming.
