Sadly I played it for a few hours and it was super boring for me. I don’t like it to be honest.

This game is hard to play and my grandsons hate it. Guess I just wasted my homey.

Thought this would be the original one. Disappointed that I couldn't find the flute

There is no real linear progression in this game, which is very UNLIKE all of the other Zelda games out there. It's fun for the first few hours, but then it just becomes an overwhelming grind. I am not alone in this opinion, although some people swear by this game. /shrug. Not my cup of tea.

Breath of the Wild is simultaneously a Zelda game and not a Zelda game. If you're like me and you've always loved the 2D Zelda games better than the 3D Zelda games, you can rest assured that this is not a run-of-the-mill 3D Zelda game. The heavy focus on open world exploration, weapons, food, wardrobe, side quests, and doing whatever you want has never been seen in a Zelda game much less any first party Nintendo title, and it is absolutely refreshing. I have personally spent over 120 hours in this version of Hyrule, and very little of my experience has been linear. You want to go that direction? Go that direction. You want to climb that tower and glide to wherever? Do it! You want to try to ride that horse and get bucked off repeatedly? Go for it! Do you want to destroy hordes of enemies, collect supplies and treasures, and talk to all the NPCs along the way? Nothing is stopping you! Do not let your preconceived dislikes of 3D Zelda stop you from playing this 3D Zelda title; the battles are fluid and not "Z-targeting" stiff like the previous 3D games in the series, and the enemies are actually smart... usually. A few issues arise: The text on the screen is so small that playing in handheld mode is challenging, and even playing on a larger screen can have you squinting from time to time. Some of the requirements to trigger certain challenges are never explained in-game, which forces you to rely on online player's guides to explain some of the mechanics, which is disappointing for a series that prides itself on its intuitiveness. Finally, almost nobody will 100% complete this game; there are so many things to collect that you will probably quit way before you have them all, and a player's guide is absolutely needed to 100% it. Overall, though, this is my absolute favorite 3D Zelda game, and it stands a good chance of being yours, as well.

Very engaging game where you will find yourself lost in time not realizing how much time you've spent playing it. It's challenging enough but not so much where you will rage throw your Joy Cons across the room. Well maybe when guardians hit you into next week lol. There's a reason these games don't go down to clearance pricing, they are timeless greats.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a phenomenal launch title - the likes of which we haven't seen very often in other console launches over the last few decades. The only launch titles that come close to being of such high calibur as Breath of the Wild are Super Mario World (SNES), Super Mario 64 (N64), and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii). Usually consoles come with chaffe and/or "meh" ports of "meh" games that were originally developed for the prior gen. This isn't a meh game or a meh port. If you like open-world games, and/or the Legend of Zelda series, you should really do yourself a favor and pick up this game. The sense of immersion and adventure you get from traversing all the different environments in the game is awe-inspiring. There's so many different ways you can approach travelling and puzzle-solving. The physics-based gameplay sets itself apart from many an open-world adventure game. Weather greatly impacts gameplay. The weapon durability system, often criticised by many, serves a grand purpose. The developers want you to take advantage of all tools at your disposal, rather then relying on the best tools you inevitable settle on in other games. Some resources and some weapons may be rarer then their counterparts, but the game respawns enemies, item locations, etc., every so-many-odd hours of in-game time passing. It's really not a big deal. Many people will have a hard time adjusting to this type of system if they've played other games that lack durability and place a greater reliance on individual items, that can no longer be regained once lost. Lastly, for many a Zelda fan who hasn't played too many open-world games, they'll be taken aback by the less-rewarding nature of Breath of the Wild. Don't fret, though. It's just the nature of open-world games compared to "set level" design. You can't judge this game with the same criteria as games with set dungeons to beat in a certain order, whereby clear progress can be kept. There's way more freedom here. It's glorious. Oh, and the soundtrack is wonderful. It's full of remixes of songs from various Legend of Zelda titles along with many new classics. You take it for granted for awhile, but then an old favorite plays as you travel into a new territory and you really get taken over by nostalgia. I love it.

This game is extremely fun and entertaining to play! Im only 3 missions into the game and i have spent some hours on the game because of distractions. I find this to be a good thing since it will make the game last longer. This is the third Zelda game i have played and its already better than both of them in my opinion. The other 2 I played were twilight princess and windwaker, both of which were really great games. Definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Zelda and even to anyone who hasnt played Zelda games yet.

Breath of the Wild's open air style promises many hours of game play for the completionists and casuals gamers alike. Personally, I have played over 70 hours myself, and only having about 30% of the game complete. Not only is there lots of content, but the game offers fun and unique physics that players use to problem solve or slay enemies. I would recommend picking up this game if you have a Switch or a Wii U.

If you're a fan of the series then this game is a must! Even if you have never played a Zelda game this games mechanics and gameplay are exciting and rewarding. It took my forever to finish the game, not because I couldn't but because I wanted to explore every nook and cranny of the beautiful world before defeating Gannon. one of my top 10 games of all time!

I don’t know why so many people like this game, but gameplay not a really great, poor graphic, and so expensive!

Where can I start from? One of the BEST - yes, the BEST games I've played in my entire life. Warning, once you start playing, there is no way you can stop - unless you have to go work, do your chores, etc, etc. I have spent hours trying to explore, get to shrines, finish the quest that NEVER end. I'm not gonna say anything anymore because I don't want to spoil it - but if you get this game, you are never going to regret it because the world of Zelda is gonna be all yours to explore!

I have been a fan of the Zelda series since I first got ocarina of time when I was five years old for Nintendo 64. For years absolutely no Zelda title has come close to being better. Not Majoras Mask, not Windwaker, not Twilight Princess, and certainly not Skyward Sword. Breath of The Wild after playing it for 40+ hours I can now say has finally managed to best Ocarina of Time as my favorite in the series! Without spoiling any story elements I will say voice acting in this game is fantastic and it makes you wonder why Nintendo waited until this game to do it. The combat while admittedly being difficult at times, especially in the begining hours, is a learning curve that is incredibly rewarding the longer you spend time learning what weapon style you prefer. Weapon Durability is another new mechanic but weapons are so plentiful and youre constantly getting better ones the more you progress that it was never an issue for me at all. Shrines are also a new mechanic which I honestly prefer over the more traditional style dungeons now. The puzzles in them arent very difficult except for a select few ive encountered but each one you come across tests your abilities in different ways. The traditional style dungeons are still here, but theyre given a much less greater focus and can still be challenging in their own ways. Side quests have always kind of been in Zelda games, but they recieve a much greater focus here with all of them being completely optional and while some are basic fetch quests, others can actually get you pretty great rewards, even some that tie into the story. And there is certainly plenty of them to do I am still exploring the massive world finding some that I missed my first time through. Overall this game is FANTASTIC and certainly the #1 reason to own a Nintendo Switch. I cannot say enough good things about this game and if you plan on getting a Nintendo Switch this game is a MUST!

The quality and detail in the game is awesome. As someone who grew up playing Zelda, definitely one of my favorites!
