First step into Nintendo
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm new to the world of nintendo and wanted to play this game first after hearing so many great things about it. Very expansive open world, but the controls on nintendo take some time to getting used to after playing playstation for so long. Enjoying it so far!

Fantastic game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a huge Zelda fan but I’m not usually into open world games. This is one world that is definitely worth exploring. It is very engaging because I’m constantly finding new loot and challenges. One thing I really like is the “pick up and play” aspect of the design. I can play for 15 minutes and beat a shrine or 2 hours and complete a long quest. I can save any time and pick back up where I left off. I will be playing this for a while because there is so much to do and it is not an easy game.

Astonishing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With a few changes to classic Link. He can now jump and climb the sides of mountains. It doesn't take away from the experience at all. This still feels like a Zelda game. It's gorgeous on both the tv and on the handheld system. Sure, the quality is a little less on the handheld, but it's still beautiful. The game is open world and so much to discover. Even when you think you've seen it all, there's something else.

Massive, Open World Experience
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is truly one of the best open world gaming experiences I've ever had. You're dropped into a massive virtual world that you can fully explore. Those mountains over in the horizon? Yep, you can go there. There's no end to it. I'm not a Zelda fan in particular. I've never played a Zelda game before this. But I love the game nonetheless. That's how you know it's great.

One Of the Greatest Zelda Games Ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been hyped for the game ever since it was first announced as a Wii U game. I bought it for my Switch since I wanted it more for the newer console. Longtime fans will love the game since it has gone back and feels more like the original Zelda with the open world. Game has a lot to do and you can easily get side tracked and distracted by all the various things you can do in the world. A definite must buy

Exactly what you should expect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If anybody can think of something bad to say about this game, I'd be quick to call them a liar! The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild breathes new life into Nintendo and the Zelda series. Zelda BOTW has a huge map and open world, a brilliant "blood moon" concept to justify the respawning of bad guys, and an amazing continuation to the story that is Link and Zelda. I've been playing these games since 1987 when Zelda first came into my life and my 3 year already knows the beauty that is The Legend of Zelda

Best Zelda Ever?
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This might be the best game I have ever played. I was skeptical at first and held off for years buying this game because it was so different. This is a game you can turn on and in an instant 2hrs have passed. The graphics are amazing, the story line is great, and there's plenty of side quests to complete.

Amazing but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is great and very entertaining for hours on end. However, as a 22 year old, this game seemed to be mainly created for the ease of completion but younger kids- the game in general is not extremely hard. I was disappointed that exploration and roaming were more dangerous and tougher rather than any major story-line fight/puzzle. Would 100% recommend for any gamer interested in free world gaming.

An Excellent Addition to the Zelda Series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BotW has received plenty of accolades for a good reason: it is a excellent game. It is much harder than previous Zelda games that I have played (and I have died a lot as a result) but I keep coming back for more. I love being able to climb up mountains and exploring new places. The shrines are challenging, but are great puzzles. Hyrule is absolutely gorgeous and the character design is great. I am still playing through the main story, but I am sincerely enjoying playing this game.

Fun for anyone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Breath of the Wild is an incredibly expansive game, which focuses on one thing: being fun. It gives you near complete freedom to tackle problems and progress as you please, as well as introducing new concepts in a way that makes them easy to understand without being forced - any sense of a "tutorial" is integrated naturally into gameplay. The openness of the game means anybody should find enjoyment in playing it - if the concept seems interesting, then this game is definitely for you.

100 hours in and I still haven't seen it all
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is best game of 2017, no question. There are not many games that receive perfect scores from critics, but BOTW pulled it off. Nintendo clearly went back to the drawing board for this game. First of all, this game is by no means easy. You will die. A lot. Dark Souls- a lot. You have to posses the right gear to take on high level enemies, and because this is an open world game, it is very easy to stumble upon an enemy that you are not prepared for. Good luck taking on that Guardian with that Rusty Broadsword there. Need some health? Get to cooking. There is no "let me just cut this bush and grab a heart." No sir. You have to haul yourself up a tree and grab some apples, launch an arrow at a boar, and maybe even try your luck by grabbing that bee hive for extra excitement. The more complex you make your meal, the more health or stat buff you will receive. The characters feel alive in BOTW. Their dialogue can change based on your actions (get off of that table!), or what you're wearing , or not wearing(they don't like a naked Link). The world is filled with new and interesting characters and even one that looks suspiciously like Robin Williams. The enemies feel well designed, and the shrines offer a quick but sometimes complex puzzle that will leave you feeling excited to locate the next one. I could go on and on, but Hyrule needs me. This a must buy for any Zelda fan, and really anyone who considers themselves a gamer.

New console leads to new Link
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mean come on. It’s a game altering version of Hyrule and Link that has changed how some people view Legend of Zelda. Is it my favorite? Far from. But it’s still so fun and addicting that you’ll want to keep coming back.

One of the best games of all time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll start by saying I haven't been a huge Nintendo fan in years but got sucked into the hype for the switch and this game in particular. I took a leap of faith based on reviews and bought a switch just for this game! Do not regret at all. This game is going to go down as one of, if not THE, greatest games of all time! There is so much to do and when I tell myself I'm going to put it down after I clear this last shrine, I turn the corner and get sucked into other adventures for hours! Incredible game

Simply amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is everything I could ask for in a Zelda game. I always thought "wow what would Zelda be like if it was open world like Skyrim or similar". Here is your answer. As a heavy Xbox user I was skeptical giving the Switch a shot for Zelda, but I have not touched my Xbox since this game came out. I have been playing for seemingly forever and I have yet to uncover the entire map, only have about 50/120 shrines finished, sitting at about 17% overall completion. I jumped ahead and "beat" the game and immediately went right back to doing quests and exploring. And those little Kurok guys, there's like 900 of them and I think I've come across maybe 40 so far? So many things to do it is insane. My few minor gripes are lack of enemy and boss variety. I would've loved to have seen some more classic enemies and the bosses all look the same and aren't as cool as previous games. The weapons breaking is manageable but there should be special weapons that do not break considering what you have to do to earn them (master sword, Hyrulian shield, etc). Also there is really only 4 main "dungeons" and they don't really have that feel of older Zelda dungeons (get a key, find map and compass, find special item) and really lack any enemies. Apparently they left the special items out and give you what you need in the tutorial so you can go anywhere at any time (try heading straight to the castle, have fun). Overall a true masterpiece and I hope more Nintendo made games are the same.

The best
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is incredible and I was late to the party! Amazing story, visuals and highly deep gameplay mechanics, which is a what I expect from a first party Nintendo game. Game is too expensive considering it’s been 6 years since it launched. Only real complaint.
