2017's Game of the Year for Open-World

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played a fair amount of this before Tears of the Kingdom, so if you haven't played Tears of the Kingdom, I would suggest playing that first over Breath of the Wild (which is this game) because I read a comment somewhere that it has the same mechanics as the predecessor.

Steep learning curve, well worth the patience

But as you earn power, advantages, weapons, the game becomes a breeze. And the story is worth the patience, I take great joy in beating Ganon again and again as I grow stronger. Awesome replay value
