Essential
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo has outdone themselves with the greatest Zelda game ever produced. BotW brings real exploration back to RPG play which has been missing for so long. No hand holding, and no obstructive limitations. You can go wherever you want, explore, find alternate ways around puzzles, and enjoy the environment. No minimap with a million things on it to check off, no guidance whatsoever. The only way forward is through real, legit exploration. Every gamer owes it to themselves to play this game as a study in the highest quality design.

Really fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never thought I'd be into an open world Zelda game, but I'm loving this game. Probably the best Zelda game since Ocarina. The only downsides are that the shrines have nothing on the classic dungeons and are rather basic, and weapons break too fast... other than that, it's really fun and has the best story of the series. It's a must have if you own a switch.

Best game ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of the game is amazing. Open world concept, and it's fun to explore and fight the bad guys. Lets save Hyrule yet again, and zelda.

Great Game to Get Back into Zelda Series
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven’t played a Zelda game since the 90’s and Ocarina of Time was all the rage. This game immediately grabbed my attention and I haven’t put it down since.

Good Game...but
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is on par with Zelda Ocarina of Time, has some cool gear. Some of which are a nod to old games. However, the main story line was just too easy. It was hand-holding the player every step of the way until the end. Hopefully a hard mode would have been great. Perhaps DLC will bring a challenge.

Open world adventure like no other
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played many games and many Zelda games and this is the best by far. Zelda games are great, but they do come with limitations that I have come to accept, well no more. From the start you are free to do whatever you want and go wherever you want and fight whoever you want. This freedom did take me a while to get into, I was constantly thinking that I must be doing this, going here, leveling up. When I finally let go of that, I started to have my own personal adventure and I am still enjoying it. This is a great experience for all.

I can't stop playing this!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OMG, I haven't played a Zelda game in a long time and let me just say, this has got to be the best one EVER! The world is so huge and you can just roam around in it and just have fun forever. Personally, I don't care if I ever complete the game 100% because I am just having the best time exploring and doing the tasks as they come up. I can't say enough good about this game...I FRIGGIN' LOVE IT!

Great Game, Great Value.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a quality exclusive on the Nintendo Switch. The game has tons of replay value and will last a long time after beating the initial campaign. This game reinvents the Zelda franchise with a quite literal breath of fresh air as it introduces an open world experience. Gone are the days of linear Zelda games, now you can free roam and fight Ganon from the start of the game, although you will not get too far. Cannot recommend this game enough, and with the GCU membership, the savings are a huge plus.

Changed my views on a "good game"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Guys, this game is amazing, it has Zelda aspects for sure but they tied in a ton of great stuff to update the series, there is a endless supply of weapons laying around, stealth, stamina for new aspects of the game, and so many open world possibilities. Ever been absolutely demolished by a Cucco? Well grab one of those guys from a farm and take it to a boss type you're having Trouble with and BAM Cucco attack on bad guy. Magnet magic, ice pillars, unlimited bomb magic (reload time though) etc. etc. do whatever you want whenever you want. It's incredible

love the open world feel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Zelda has always been a favorite, but the open world makes it better. Your weapons break often, but you're constantly searching for new ones.

Pretty darn good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first hour or two are a bit of a chore but you're soon shocked and awed by the scale of this game. It is huge. It also starts off a tad difficult and there's a substantial initial learning curve for a Nintendo game but it is incredibly refreshing. I'm about a dozen or so hours in and very much enjoying myself. Easily my favorite Zelda yet but it can't be appreciated without having played a few of the previous titles. Lots of references and call-backs to previous games but I would absolutely recommend it to everyone. The game's not without its flaws however. I'm a little underwhelmed by the lack of variety in the "shrines" and enemies in the open. "Shrines" replace the temples of yore; instead you're challenged by a large number of smaller dungeons that contain a puzzle or two or a one-on-one with a very difficult enemy. Still fun but I can't help missing the old temples. The shrines are a good challenge and the smaller format works well with the portability of the Nintendo Switch since you can take the game in little bites despite the huge overall size. Other complaints are the voice acting not being the best and also being limited just to story segments. So the latter may actually be a blessing but it's still a disappointment coming from other games. Overall it's pretty darn good and highly recommended.
