Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the engaging gameplay and charming art style as major highlights of "The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom". The story and puzzle-solving elements also receive praise, with many finding them enjoyable and well-designed. However, some players have noted performance issues, including frame rate drops and a somewhat cumbersome menu system. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall reception appears positive.

Pre-ordered this game weeks before launch date. I chose Best Buy for this purchase , because of the pre-order bonus. When I picked up the game , I was told they had no bonuses left. They shouldn't have accepted any more pre-orders than they had bonuses to supply. That is a poor way to do business.

Great looking game with a lot of charm. However, the combat leaves much to be desired.

Preordered, shipment was going to be delayed almost a week later. Called and the customer sevice rep did nothing but blame the ontrac vendor. Luckily got updated an hour later back to same day but never got preorder bonus. Game so far is ok, some creative problem solving, but spent 10min conjuring an enemy to distract evil link as i threw rocks at him wahoo

This game chugs at times. Also, I feel like the gameplay screeches to a halt when you have to look through the wheel of items. I do not recommend.

This was supposed to come with the pre order bonus listed on the website. It did not. I inquired in the chat and was told it wouldn't be honored. It came in a box with no padding and the case was dented. Waste of time.

Game is great, but didn’t receive pre-order bonus after pre-ordering. Was told that it was limited, but when purchased the pre-order was advertised with the game.

A puzzle-heavy game that limits the action combat to short bursts and spawning brain-dead enemy duplicates to do your battling. This is not the 2D Zelda game I want and hope Nintendo produces a more traditional Zelda title in the future.

I wrote a review the day of but apparently Best Buy decided to delete that. I will never shop here again I called to confirm I'd be getting the gift before I put my order in and well the day of my fiance went to pick up the game and they said they only have a few and not give us the gift. He was literally the first person at open time there to get it. I called customer service only to be transferred around for over an hour and they told me there was no bonus. Now they deleted over hundreds of reviews about this. Ive never had a business act like this before.

When I bought this game through Best Buy, it told me that I would receive a Pre-Order Bonus but it never came. The 1 Star review is for the experience through Best Buy, not the game itself.

    Good game, perplexing review policy.

The game is really good! My friends can't stop talking about it, not sure why Best Buy is allowing reviews about a game be focused on a preorder bonus when the topic of review should be the game itself, but I digress.. Great game! Ignore the one star reviews whining about the cheap plastic preorder crap.

    Unconventionally Traditional

Arrived a day after release but no big deal, I was expecting it to anyway. This is a great game, the art style is adorable (especially when the NPCs are surprised) the mechanics are novel, yet it is in many ways quite traditional. Breaking conventions in all the right ways. There was one aspect of the game I felt was, while interesting, quite unnecessary and I never ended up using it.

People crazy over Best buy “pre-order” bonus

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Best buy has never been good with preprder bonus’ normally they are reserved for the first people that have ordered or should be reserved for best buy plus (total tech) members. Every review with 1 star complaining a out the bonus should be deleted as it doesnt reflect on the actual product but reflects best buys business. Complaining you didnt get something that wasnt guaranteed is kinda sad to see. Its disapoonting, but for the last 10 years every smart person that plays video games will tell you not tp preorder, and that preordering allows companies to do shady practices, or to simply not deliver fully on their final product because they already made their money. Its crazy people are still preorder and expecting free things or a finished game on release day, when none of that stuff has been fully delivered in over 10 years.

i didnt preorder... so i have nothing to complain. but this game is 11 stars out of 10, if you love the original NES, the Legend of Zelda. this is like a based on the original Zelda layout, the game is not very difficult to play, so you wont give up and quit too easily, just lots of puzzles to solve which i love.

I hadn't played a "traditional" Zelda game (2D) in a very long time until I played this one. I suppose I got more used to playing the newer, 3D BOTW, and TOTK. I think EOW is a good "old-school" style game with the more traditional type dungeons. The reason for the 4 star is because it just seems too easy. I have barely been stumped (puzzles) once and I have cleared 4 dungeons. I have only died in one boss battle (although I have a few times traversing the world). I guess I feel the game is too juvenile with respect to the level of difficulty. Keep in mind I am only half way through (?) the game, so it could become more difficult (I hope). Other than that, the idea of playing Zelda is cool, and the echoes are a good idea. I do miss the combat style of BOTW and TOTK though.

Glad I finally picked up a copy. This is really the first ever Zelda game where we finally get to play the princess of Hyrule. It is quite bittersweet but it’s definitely quite an exciting adventure.
