This is a fun game that I love to sit down and play with my kids (4 and 6) and they both enjoy it too.

Game play is just like I remember on gameboy. It has better graphics obviously.

As cute as the animation is and as much as I like that it's a remake of a fantastic game....it runs absolutely horribly on the Switch. The framerates drop constantly and it makes for a pretty unpleasant experience sometimes (even in handheld mode).

In our house, the Zelda Franchise is universally loved by everyone in my family. Link's awakening is a classic on it's own. Watching my kids enjoy the game at the same age their parents did shows how a good game with a good setting is timeless. The new graphics and being on the switch are just icing on the cake. This is a must play for any Nintendo/Zelda fan. If you are a fan I doubt you are reading the reviews anyways. You already beat it.

What a fantastic game! Love the Zelda series and this title!

One of the best Zelda Adventures and one that many missed from back in the day. I was geeked to see Nintendo take the time to remake/remaster this GameBoy classic. It's a great trip and blast to play and imo a bit more enjoyable than the original, I wish more copies of the Dreamer Edition had been produced but otherwise if you like classic Zelda adventures, this is a must own for your Switch collection.

Nice game for kids is challenging for them and rewarding once you beat certain obstacles

It has to be one of the best games of the year. If you’re a Zelda fan and loved playing Breath of the Wild you’ll love this too. I’m half way through and looking forward to countless more days playing this beauty. 3d animations are excellent. I have not encountered any glitches as previous reviewers have mentioned. Best Buy offered a price match and I saved $10. Thank you Nintendo for a beautiful game...and Best Buy for a GREAT deal.

Great addition to the Switch library, especially for those longing for the days of top down Zelda games. This is a faithful recreation of the original, well actually the GBC release, and improves it with some nice quality of life touches and a unique look. My only complaint is the frame rate takes a hit in certain areas of the overworld (even docked). It would have also been nice for a straight 1080p docked resolution, instead of dynamic.

Although obviously not as expansive and immersive as BOTW, this is a great remake. Retro done right.
