This game is a 3D top down remake of the Game Boy game from the 90's. I played the original game when it was new. This is a good remake. Enjoyable game and a must have game for Nintendo Switch if you like Zelda.

As someone who played the ORIGINAL Link's Awakening in 1993 as well as it's DX version, I was interested in this remake. The game has some colorful and cute updated graphics and the game is largely the same minus a few changes like a brand new dungeon creator that isn't much fun. The dungeon mini bosses and main bosses are actually tougher than the original adding a much needed challenge. The Color Dungeon of the DX version is present as well. A good game with nostalgia.

if you like Zelda games then this game is definitely for you. Newcomers may just be in it for the visuals (which is a very nice addition compared to its predecessor), but the game feels too simple for its $59.99 price. I would give it 5 stars if I didn’t have to pay top dollar for a remade gameboy game from the early 90s. Is the game worth it, yes. Do I regret buying it, no. Do I still feel that others should add to their Switch collection, yes. I would recommend you hold off until a price drop if you can wait out the hype.

This game is incredible. A fully on remaster of one of my favorite childhood games and it plays just as great as ever. Really good dungeons and puzzle strategies, incredibly colorful, and a good game to just make you feel like a kid again.

There's not much to say here if you're familiar with the original. The graphics are cool and the game is a solid distraction, but it's still pretty much just Exactly how it looks -- a remastered Gameboy game. It was fairly innovative for its time and brought a high bar to old-school handheld gaming, but it just doesn't feel like there's quite enough here to merit the price of a full game. Definitely recommend for any Zelda fan, but don't expect it to keep you playing for long. Maybe try to catch a sale.

I never played the original Link’s awakening but am a Zelda fan. Very fun game for me. Old school style Zelda fun with beautiful and cute new graphics. Most importantly, my kids love it. I’m passing on the Zelda fandom to them. Ages 7-12 boy and girls. They all love it.

Got this game for my boyfriend last year for his Christmas gift! He absolutely loves it. It’s the perfect game for any Zelda fan and my boyfriend is a huge Zelda fan. He’s been playing it since the start. And I know he won’t ever stop playing this game.

I literally love this game, so much! At first, it was incredibly confusing, as I never have played the original Link’s awakening. But, now that I’m playing the newer one, it couldn’t get any better than this! I love this game so much, and it is an excellent time killer!

Great game and a must play for Zelda fans. The graphics are very nice and clean while keeping the original spirit of the game intact.

This is what Zelda is all about, Not running around for 20 minutes to find the same temples & enemies to the point of boredom like in botw. You actually feel like you make progress in this one. Story, music, controls, graphics, all is here.

Some of the perspectives in the game are slightly jarring at first, but this is a well done upgrade to the classic Gameboy game. The dungeon maker is a bit tedious since you have to do several of them for shells and heart pieces, but that is the game's only drawback.

This game is great! I never got to play the original back in the day, so it being remade for the Switch it was an instant must have! The art style is great! Like windwaker not many people liked it, but I love them both! A definite recommended! Well worth the $60 bucks

An awesome remake of an awesome classic! Recommend to any classic Zelda fans.

I grew up playing Zelda games but missed this when it first came out. This remake was a great excuse to try it and I love it. My 11 year old normally plays zelda games with me but he said this one is too old for him to play. Crazy talk I say. This one is a lot of fun.

Missed this the first time around when it was a GB game. This remake ticks all the boxes of a great Zelda game. It can get frustrating at times with the frame rate and the “Mario maker”-esque dungeon builder is kinda lame... but as a Zelda game this game is great!

Thought the game was going to be too kidish but I was pleasantly surprised. Its a great game, just a little short.

This game totally took me back to the days of playing on SNES. The gameplay was awesome, levels that were challening but not impossible, and fun Nintendo easter eggs throughout. Highly recommend for anyone new to the franchise or looking for a blast from the past.

The Zelda remakes have been great so far, but this is the first one where I never played the original. While it is released a full game, I think that so far, it’s worth it for the quality and the fun I’ve had. Love the art style but more importantly, it’s lots of fun.

Remember playing this on the Gameboy can't wait to see how Much i remember from that old Game in this remake

I love this game. I’m from the old school. While I like the modern games, I miss the classics like A Link to the Past. I enjoyed playing this where it played like a classic game but with modern graphics. I’m hoping they do some more remasters if there classic games.
