If you liked the original links awakening, I'm sure you'll love the remake. It's and improvement in just about every way imaginable. It is a pretty short game, however. If you're on a budget, it might not be the most economical purchase.

Bought for my husband who loved all the Zelda 64 games. Since buying him this, i find him just absorbing himself into a happy gameplay he giggles about. All he says is "you'll love this babe!"

My son really enjoyed playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on his Nintendo Switch so he asked for Link's Awakening for Christmas! I was excited to find it on sale at Best Buy and to be able to give it as a gift!

Great remake of a classic zelda. Reminded me of link to the past with a weird twist.

Despite the occasional frame rate stuttering this game is completely excellent. I loved all of my time with it and can completely see why it was chosen to be remade in the first place.

Even though this is a remake, it feels fresh because the art style just pops. I have never played the original and it's highly regarded from many Zelda fans so I'm excited to continue playing it. So far so good.

An excellent remake to a Gameboy classic. A faithful remake that may be a little easy for those who played the gameboy version extensively, but a must have for everyone, including those who are playing for the first time.

Loved playing the original on the GBC and I remember beating that game a couple of times and never getting tired of it. So with this updated version for the Nintendo Switch, it really takes me back. Unfortunately since I haven't played in so long I have forgotten many of the tricks to the game and I'm having to re-learn them but it's so worth it. The only issue and it's been pretty minor is the occasional stutter or frame rate drop on certain areas but it's definitely not a deal breaker.

You've heard it plenty, but this version of Link's Awakening is pretty much like the original. It does have various Quality-of-Life changes, HD graphics ported to the 3rd dimension, and it comes with a dungeon builder that uses pre-made sections, but all in all, it's just like the game on the Gameboy and Gameboy Color. That's not to say it isn't fun, as I've been having a blast with it. Highly recommend, whether you've never played the original, or looking to freshen up from the 8-bit era.

This game is a 5 star quality game. There is little that you could do to this game to improve it. However, for the $60 asking price, it has a slight tinge of buyer's remorse. As Nintendo games rarely go on sale, you will probably end up paying full price for this, but it would have earned the full 5 stars at $40 MSRP. It's too short of a game to ask $60 for, even as charming as it is. Compared to the original on Gameboy and Gameboy Color, this is the best way to play the game, hands down.

My 4 year old son LOVES this game! With a little bit of coaching from Dad he took to it right away! He was able to figure out the map and uses the various weapons and tools. A very good game for beginners or those learning strategy games.

Amazing game! Plays just like the original GameBoy version, but with improved graphics

good game, not exactly up to Zelda standards but the kids have enjoyed it. But really only a few hours of actual gameplay.

It's amazing to see how far technology has come and being able to relive a classic I played as a kid in the early 90s is awesome. The nostalgia factor is incredible, and current graphics (and handheld!!) make it even sweeter!

I never played the original back in the day so it’s nice to get to do that now. This is a good game

Excellent remake of a classic Zelda game. Graphics are great, controls are spot on. Wish the length was a little longer but it was a game boy game so in terms of that it is a lengthy game.

I’ve never played the previous versions of the game, so this was my first rodeo, so to speak. I can definitely see how it influenced other entries in the Zelda series. I honestly couldn’t tell that it’s a 25 year old game. I highly recommend it.

Links awakening is a great game because of the great storyline and the mechanics and the graphics, the graphics make it look like one of the old legend of Zelda games which is something I like, overall it is a very good legend of Zelda game
