I bought this for my 9-year-old son and he LOVES it. It might be a bit easy because he finished it in less than a week. But he said he likes it better than BOTW in many ways.

Yes I played the original, I have to say they did a great job with this update. Lots of fun nods, graphics are just wonderful! Good "old school" zelda game with some nice puzzles

Links Awakening is one of those must-play games that gives you feeling of nostalgia and the stimulation you'd expect from a 1st party Nintendo game. The modern switch remake is the same game, but it has more than just a little overhaul. It comes with a dungeon creator, some inventory screens and new menus. The wider viewing angles which is replaced with smooth screen transitions that helps the world come to life. The game runs a dynamic resolution. The primary resolution\frame rate you'll see is 720p 60. The art style and design might not be for everyone, but if you're a fan this recreation is a wonderful recreation on switch!

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening (2019) Switch Link’s Awakening has always been one of my very favorites in the franchise and I played the game as a kid many times on my GameBoy! I remember being super blown away that it had cameos from other Nintendo games in it (this was before the Smash days, it was rare to see crossovers). It’s such a quirky game and the people who worked on it were inspired by Twin Peaks of all things. There’s a kinda dark subtext with having Link be on a quest to essentially destroy the universe. I loved the graphics in the remake, it looks like you are playing in a toy box. That being said, at least my copy had some serious frame rate issues where it was frequently dropping from 60 FPS down to 30 FPS. I’m not a stickler but it’s really noticeable and I’m surprised this never got patched out. It ran like this in both handheld and docked mode. It’s still very playable tho. Other than that it’s just like playing the original albeit with better graphics and music. There are a couple extra things (and a dungeon maker). I remembered everything you had to do from the numerous times I have beat so I blew through it. I still enjoy this game a whole bunch. <3

This game definitely takes you back if you played the original SNES one, but there are added content that makes you feel as if you're playing something while relieving a classic!

Who doesn't love Zelda? My son loves Zelda and we have to get everything came. This game is great because he can go back and always sees new things.

Whether or not you’ve played the original on the Gameboy Color, this is a great addition to the series. If you’re a Zelda fan like I am, guarantee you’ll love it as well.

This game will make you reminisce of the good ol’ Nintendo and Super Nintendo times. I dare you to play it WITHOUT the help of walkthroughs... it will be hours of fun!

I'm quite satisfied with my order. This an old time favorite so I knew what I was getting. I was able to place my order hassle free and the shipping and delivery was fast. I received my order the next day from placing my purchase.

Amazing how they managed to bring the Gameboy original back nearly square for square and have it feel exactly as it should while also feeling totally new. The UI, menus, and controls were obviously a much needed update that modernize the game, but the presentation is what makes this game worth the $60. Link's Awakening was a cute, unique, but, ultimately, weird Zelda game. The updated graphics and soundtrack perfectly re-capture that for those who played the original and conveys it to a new generation. I'm glad this classic got the face lift it deserved. Hopefully they can use this as a base to do the same with the Oracle games.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening was an amazing childhood memory for me when I played it back on the original GameBoy. Seeing the re-release of this game on the Nintendo Switch with new gameplay and puzzles brought nothing but excitement. There is a reason people keep going out and buying anything with the name Zelda on it. This game does not disappoint. For old gamers looking to recapture the nostalgia or new gamers looking to experience a Zelda game, this game is a great way to start that Zelda journey for them. Highly recommended for any video game lover.

Fantastic Zelda game with really cute graphics and art style! Anyone can play this which makes it really great. Graphics are nice for a Nintendo Switch!

Fun game that offers hours of challenges and item collecting. Combat isn't overly challenging, but there are some enemies that need special items to defeat. Don't worry, you collect them as you progress through the game. There's lots of characters from the Super Mario games, some good and some enemies. It's a top down game, but there are some side scrolling sections that are neat to see. I will definitely be doing another playthrough soon.

Excellent Game nostalgia like many years ago but in color and full hd

Highly recommend this game to all ages. From the video and screen shot you would assume this is meant for a younger age. Don’t be fooled. Super fun for anyone.

I played a ton of Link's Awakening back on Game Boy when I was younger. It filled my car rides with joy, and kept me up at night under the sheets with the little worm light. This is that game, with a shiny coat of paint on it. For me, that's all I could ask for. New features? Not much, just a little puzzle mode of a dungeon creator. More accessible? Hardly! The owl will come around and give you a place to be, and you can go in the phone buildings to call a helpful NPC for tips, but that was in the original too! Yea, it's a shorter game, but I think it's one well worth the price of entry, and one you don't want to miss.

Awesome game. Perfect if you want something “new” but still with the classic Zelda gameplay, not wanting to grind through the current Switch Zelda

Longtime old school The Legend of Zelda fans will love this remake! Great game for beginning Zelda players! Highly recommend the amiibo that is associated with the game!
