This is a great remake of a classic zelda game. It is a little short but its really fun and if you have never played the original you should definitely check it out.

My son has been a fan since the 1st The Legend of Zelda game and I see the attraction.

Bought this game for the wife, because she loves puzzle games but struggles with open world games like Breath of the Wild. She beat it in about 12 hours total, which was perfect for her. She doesn't like to be bogged down by long games because of limited time to play. We have three toddlers so really we just game once they're all in bed. She loved the story and the Chain Chomps, which she identified from Mario. Was cool to watch someone play a remaster of one of my childhood games. I have yet to play it but I watched about 60% of her play through. Looked like a ton of fun!

A remake of the first portable Zelda game on Gameboy, played from a top-down perspective similar to other games in the series, such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Huge upgrade in graphics and sound compared to its Gameboy counterpart with a new difficulty, called Hero Mode, included for those looking for a challenge. The gameplay is as fun as the original, though it remains largely unchanged, with minor alterations and quality of life improvements here and there. Highly recommended whether you're new to Zelda or a series veteran.

Another great Zelda game for the books. I know it's a remake but since I have never played the original I was totally stoked to grab this puppy and I was not disappointed. Great graphics on the new switch and an HDTV. This game is so fun, the puzzles are challenging enough but not too much that you want to throw your controller. Fun and nostalgic like the original games. Don't get me wrong I love BOTW but this is a great blast from the past in an improved package. If you love classic Zelda games you will not be dissappointed. I mean who wouldn't want to spend hours chopping grass and getting coins! LOL

One of the best remakes there ever was. Whether you’ve played the original or not, I’d highly recommend for any Legend of Zelda fan

Great game! It’s not super long so you can finish it pretty quickly compared to other games.

Just like the classic one I love when I was kid. There was a drop of FPS here and there but not much to really ruin the game. Five stars all the way.

I love all the Zelda games. This one is shorter than some, and it is a rerelease of a different system game. Do your research if those bother you.

I never played the original Link's Awakening, so I'm not sure how close this remake comes to the story and gameplay of the original. I didn't even read any reviews of the game before purchasing. I think the graphic style is very unique and 'fun'. The gameplay somewhat reminds me of when games were a little simpler. I actually had a lot more fun with the game than I anticipated. There are all kinds of optional special items you can get that help you throughout the rest of the game. Overall, I found it to be an addicting game that I couldn't put down until I beat it, and I enjoyed the entire experience.

Nintendo shows you don’t have to have 4K graphics and 3D realism to make a great, fun game. I hope they continue to make more installments of this franchise forever!

Having played the original for GameBoy (Color), this is an excellent modernization on the classic game. There's definitely some new twists and additions to the game, what with creating your own dungeons. There are some changes from the base game that are reflected in the modernization to accommodate gameplay, but that helps break the "I know where everything is" to "I know where most of everything is now where the heck is the rest."

Do you like GameBoy games? Because this is a remake of a really good Zelda game board game that was made a few decades ago! One of my favorites

This game is incredible. Brings back all my childhood memories. I loved playing the old and I still love playing this. Fantastic re-make of this Game Boy classic.

Very fun and engaging game. It brings back great memories of when I purchased Zelda on the 16-bit SNES in the 1990s, as this game is the same style, but with modern graphics. For being such a simple game in terms of graphics, the game will slow down when there are too many characters and action on the screen, similar to the CPU processing slowness of the SNES- how ironic! Overall, this bogging down can be overlooked, as the wonderful qualities of the fun game prevail!

If you played this on GB, you know what you're getting into. This remake has gorgeous visuals, a great soundtrack, and a spanning overworld instead of the grid-based original. You'll run into frame rate hiccups whenever you enter a new area, but it stabilizes pretty quickly. It's one of the shorter Zeldas, but it's a great ride while it lasts.

This game is so beautiful and fun! If youve never played a 2D Zelda game before, this is a great place to start! I had a good experience purchasing from Best Buy. I would highly recommend this game.

Anyone who has played a 16 bit Legend of Zelda game will definitely enjoy this game. The game is very stylized, but still gets you back In the top down mindset.
