I gave it a 4/5 since I got it during Black Friday for $40. If it was $60 I will only give 3/5 if it costs $60. It does have a good story, but it is a remake of the old Link Awakening almost 30 years ago, and the game design idea is often outdated. Also, the enemy spawn mechanics of the game is not friendly. They will respawn quite quickly and for most of the time, it is annoying. It is acceptable if it is a game 30 years ago because of performance limitations, but it is not a good idea to keep the original design till today. If you are really a Zelda fan I would certainly recommend buying Skyward Sword HD instead.

So fun and refreshing to explore through this beautiful world! Fantastic job of revisiting this game with the new possibilities of current graphics put to best use here. The world/island is so lush and vibrant. Puzzles and challenges are just enough to be hard without being daunting like some of the newer games. This is truly in Nintendo Wheelhouse this one. Highly recommend for whole family!

Nintendo has outdone themselves with this remake. The visual update is beautiful.

This remake is nothing short of a masterpiece. Since breath of the wild(best game ever created) has been out for almost 3 years, we needed another Zelda experience to shake things up. This game is gorgeous and a joy to play. It feels somewhat dated in the way link moves but I’m sure that was on purpose to maintain the classic feel of the game. Hands down a must buy. Zelda for life!

Don't worry about the frame rate dropping, worry about the price, this game cost $60+ and it ain't worth it. Don't get me wrong it's a great game just ain't worth the price. If anyone wants they can borrow mines instead.

The graphics on this game are outstanding and well fitting for the story and gameplay. The puzzles and hidden things to find make the challenge, combat is simple, exploration is open and areas unaccessible note that you've missed something somewhere. The dungeon builder adds replayability and a fun component to sharing the game with a friend. Previous Zelda themed amiibo add dungeon pieces.

I never played Link's Awakening when it came out on the GameBoy years ago, so this updated version is all new to me. While the frame rate takes a dip every once in a while, it doesn't take away from the quality experience that Link's Awakening provides. It's pure, nostalgic, Zelda fun!

I used to play this when gameboy still exist. Its one of my fave game growing up.

Faithful update to the Gameboy classic with updated graphics and additional content. Fans of original top-down Zelda games or those who want to try the style will enjoy. A simple dungeon creation mode which allows you to combine completed dungeon rooms into your own map is a good precursor to a Super Mario Maker style Zelda game in the future,

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening was easily one of the best and classic Game Boy releases. This handsomely done Switch remake rebuilds the original game from the ground up in a great kind of toy box graphical style with a level of detail and depth that reinvigorates both its timeless story and classic Zelda gameplay for the original gamers and a whole new generation of gamers as well.

This is a must have if you played the original gameboy version.

Love Zelda from the beginning. Wish the game was a little longer.
