Bought this game for my son and he can't put it down. Great choice.

So much better than the original with all the added quality of life updates they did! The graphics are great and the art style makes the whole world pop!

This game is of course a remake of the original game that came out for the GB/GBC. The game starts off with Link being overtaken by a storm at sea and ending up in a mysterious island. What unfolds after that is your main style of a top down Zelda game but now in 3D. The story is somewhat reminiscent of Twin Peaks. If you’re into a bunch of Nintendo cameos you’ll be super happy with the amount of them. The game from a technical standpoint can be bad sometimes. The graphics are great but it’s the FPS that can really stutter sometimes. It wasn’t even to detract from the gameplay but it’s certainly noticeable. Overall if you want to jump into a remake of a fantastic game, you surely enjoy it.

This remake of Link's Awakening is by far one of the best surprises from Nintendo this year. The classic Game Boy game is perfect for the Switch with it's unique visuals and updates. This is classic Zelda at it's finest. However.... the reason I only give it 4 of 5 stars, is the framerate has some serious problems at times, chugging below 20 FPS at certain points. Also the Tilt-Shift camera work looks good on the top half of the screen, however the bottom of the screen does not seem to do tilt-shift properly and sometimes looks like there's a thin layer of Vaseline smeared on the camera. Small complaints, but still something I would have expected to be polished a bit more for a game like this.

This is a remake of a game that's very different from Breath of the Wild, and it would be inappropriate to really compare them beyond the superficial Zelda-theming. It is relatively short, but I appreciate a highly curated experience that doesn't require me to invest an enormous amount of time just to finish it. A great way to spend a single weekend.

My wife loves it, says its as good as the original Zelda!

I bought this on Thanksgiving for my wife as she wants to play it. She's not a gamer per say or have played any adventure/rpg games but she easily like this game. ANimation is cute and kid friendly. Game is easy to play with some medium challenges to keep you interested. Its our first Zelda game and its been good so far.
