This game is such a blast, it is a great remake of the Gameboy game! This was made really well and looks great! Gameplay is also a blast with a lot going on!

You most likely know that this is a remake (from the ground up) game of the same name for the game boy. I played the original back in the day when I was in elementary school and tbh, that old version does hold up today, but this is a fantastic revision which holds all the stuff that made the original great. The Zelda franchise is one of those franchises were nearly every game (except those CDI games) is gold and this one is no different. If you are new to the series or a returning fan, this is a great buy. It's super fun.

Still have the original on the SNES. The updated graphics & story elements are surprisingly great!. Highly recommended if you're a Zelda series fan!

Played the original on my Gameboy growing up and enjoyed it then. This updated remake is just as much fun and brings new life to a classic in the franchise. Would love to see Nintendo do this remake treatment to some of the other NES/SNES titles for the switch to reintroduce a new generation to great games from consoles of the past.

If Breath of the Wild is not your cup of tea, this Zelda game is much more like the old school games of yesterday. Highly recommended,

A great game redone with so many little touches to help the game in area it lacked in the orignal. Good for begginners to the series or the hardcore Zelda fans. The art style is amazing to look at as you explore the island and uncover its many hidden mysteries.

As someone who played the original Link's Awakening back in the day I had high expectations for this game and it did not disappoint. Charming, fun and true to the original with a nice new coat of paint. And the new button mapping is a huge improvement. As a note, you do not need to have played the original to enjoy this game. You will hear noise about the framerate issues but in my opinion they do not affect the overall quality of the game. Pick this one up.

Finally got my switch, and playing Links’s Awakening. This takes me WAY back to the early ‘90’s. Loving it!!

It's a great remake of a classic gem. Graphics and gameplay are of course better than the original yet the story line still holds up after all this time.

If you are a fan of the original Zelda game, this is a Perfect option. Good graphics and fun for the whole family. Music is good as well!

Already one of the best Zelda games, this remake is fun and sometimes challenging. The toonish look created for this game really pops, overall good job!

I only ever played a little of the original Link's Awakening on Gameboy. Between the tiny screen and the lack of color, I had a hard time with it. Plus the controls were somewhat awkward, requiring a constant shuffling of inventory to the limited A and B buttons. Now, on the Switch, the game works much better. It's not just shiny new graphics but a whole new interactive experience. I am reminded of my favorite game in the Zelda series, a Link to the Past, in terms of gameplay and fun. I heartily recommend this game for anyone nostalgic for retro gaming.

Wow. Simply Wow. This is to-date, my most favorite game on Switch. The graphics are beautiful. The controls are great. This is a truly wonderful remake.

This is one of the best switch games I have played. It really captures that SNES Zelda feel with a modern take and graphics. Highly recommend it, particularly if you were a fan of the SNES Zelda. My only complaints are that it doesn’t seem worth it at full price, catch it on sale if you can. Also the frame rate can drop noticeably at times. Not really enough to affect gameplay, more of an annoyance, but surprised they haven’t updated to optimize this.

Every title they bring to the new switch is a welcome one, but this one is an exception. Tastefully updated and remastered, they've brought a simple gameboy game into a new console perfectly. If only Nintendo would see the light and bring the full library of titles to bear on the new mobile console platform, they could really carve out a chunk of market share. Alas, some of their greatest titles are still trapped on the WiiU platform. If you enjoy Zelda games, or have never played one, this is the game for beginners and enthusiasts alike.

This game faithfully recreates Link's Awakening with beautiful graphics and a wonderful orchestrated score! A must-buy for any Legend of Zelda fan.

This is the reformatted and updated version just like the one from the Game Boy. I really enjoy the memories of my teen years.

Never played the original on GameBoy so I was fresh coming to this remake. The style and camera angles maintain an updated but still somehow distinctly GameBoy feel. The change in frame rate is noticeable if you are waiting for it but by no means hinders gameplay. I was also worried after Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild that the Links Awakening island would feel confining and small, but the world/map itself is dense! Every inch of the map is loaded with puzzles, treasures, and enemies to battle. A very enjoyable 15 or so hours of play time!
