I never played this game before even though I'm part of the older generation of gamers who could have picked this a while ago. Having said that, the game is very well presented, and it reminds me of old Zelda games - especially SNES ones. This will also present me with an opportunity to show my 5 yr-old child on how these awesome games are before introducing him to more "open-range" games such as Breadth of the Wild, and my kid actually seemed to enjoy it while I was playing it.

This is a beautiful adaptation of the original Link's Awakening for the Gameboy. Overall, this is a good game and a pretty faithful remake. Unfortunately, Nintendo put this game out on the heels of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is a modern, robust, and vastly more fleshed out game. Anyone picking up Link's Awakening needs to understand that they are not getting that but rather a gorgeous rendering of a world that could not be done justice originally in 1993 both in terms of graphics and game design.

Anything with Zelda series is a great buy. I never got to play this on the gameboy color and excited to play this finally. Great update

This game is great mix between Mario and Zelda, don’t be fooled it’s actually a lot harder than it looks DONT sleep on this game!

This game is so beautiful and fun! If youve never played a 2D Zelda game before, this is a great place to start! I had a good experience purchasing from Best Buy. I would highly recommend this game.

Firstly, my biggest beef with this game is that it's too short. Not much can be done about that given it's origin as a gameboy game almost ~25yrs ago. It's a very beautiful game with clean crisp graphics. The gameplay is what you'd expect and the controls are pretty quick and accurate (not slidy/sloppy). That said, I found the combination use of running and jumping (Dashing with the boots and then using the feather to jump) was not easy to time right. I really enjoyed playing it and am now guiding my kids through it.

My 8 year old is absolutely enthralled with this game. The graphics and the world are beautiful. I as an adult don’t quite understand the purpose of the game, but my son does and is very entertained. We have had it for several weeks and still has not gotten to an ending and is still very novel. There is one beast/character that my son got stuck on and was very frustrated with. However, after some research, we realized he did not HAVE to face the beast and felt much better.

Fun, vibrant, engaging, and oozing with nostalgia. Glad I got it!

If you miss the top down zeldas of this is a must have game. The music, graphics and old school back gameplay are back and reimagined.

This is a totally cool remastered version of the super nintendo Link's awakening and it looks amazing And plays even better.

Its a wonderful remake. However! it's is only a remake. if you plan to buy this expecting a little more, its there with the dungeon maker mini game. but that's mostly all that's been added. I view this is a better version of Link's Awakening and that's pretty much what I've been given. The price is the deciding factor that's understandable, for myself, it was a no brainer, but if your feeling iffy about it, just get it on sale.

It was cool. Graphics were nice it was my first zelda game so i figured id try it out. Maybe it was because i wasnt paying much attention but it was a difficult game from the start

It’s a good game and has a good story to it. Easy yet challenging for everyone to enjoy.

The game looks great and is definitely a fun zelda game. Just wish they would fix some frame rate issues. Other than that. I love it

Captures the original glory of The Legend of Zelda. Fantastic gameplay and adventure recreated with new graphics. Would recommend to any person who owns a switch or any Zelda fan. Well worth it. Only problem I’ve had is the frame rate drop. It’s definitely noticeable, but not game breaking at all.

The updated visuals and music are welcome additions to this game. Anyone who is a fan of 2D Zelda games will certainly enjoy this.

Played the original on the game boy when I was younger and this remake does so much right. Only wish they added more new content

What a fun Zelda game!! The only big downside is that it felt like it ended just as it was starting up. I beat the game in a little over 5 hours of gameplay. It was fun, just very short-lived. Definitely not a game I'd spend full price on. Get it when it is <$40, granted it ever got that low.
