This is pretty much a 1-1 remake of the original GameBoy game (it even includes the secret Color Dungeon of the GameBoy Color version), only with completely revamped, high-resolution visuals. The aesthetic is amazing, like a 3D diorama. While it's NOWHERE near as big or deep as Breath of the Wild, it's still a sizeable adventure (probably at least 20 hours if you want to find and unlock everything) and a great introduction to 2D Zelda games for younger gamers.

I don't really play role playing fantasy games. But I gave this a try since I got it on sale on Black Friday for $40. The game is actually good, feels like a nice story you are playing. Nice retro feel. Not bad, I am getting into it. Wish though that Nintendo games were more lower price on Black Friday like playstation games that fall down to $20-$25 on Black Friday. Ohh well.

I remember playing this game as a kid back on the original Gameboy in the early 90's. I loved it. Even remember the DX version for the Gameboy Colour in the later part of the decade and loved it even then. Now on the Switch? I LOVE it even MORE. The polish, the graphical style, the retained gameplay from the original? ALL AMAZING!!! I would love to see the Big N do more handheld Zelda remakes for the hybrid juggernaut that is the Switch. Must have!!!

If you’ve played and completed the original game boy version. You won’t find too much difference in the overall game. However, with the enhanced graphics and some new things to explore. This version is really worth to revisit and experience all over again. There are enough subtle changes to give the veteran player something new to explore. New players will get to see why this Zelda game is and still one of the best in the franchise.

This is a great remake. Everyone with a switch should play this game. Very reminiscent of a link to the past.

Great game with an amazing art style that's easy to play with some challenging puzzles

If you love the art style, the gameplay is icing on the cake. A fun retro game updated with a beautiful style.

Despite some uncertainty regarding the framerate The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is an excellent remake, which enhances the original experience in every way and makes it modern thanks to a very valuable series of improvements.

Never played the classic, but many gave 9/10 or 10/10 for this game, which I don’t agree on. Game looks good and story is good but that’s about it. Music is repetitive, not enough enemies, feels dated, and just overall a bland Zelda game that is overrated, IMO.

This is a great remake of classic Zelda game. Great graphic! Great Boss fight! Great Story! Great Franchise!

My first Zelda game and definitely not my last! So fun!

This game was a fun experience and would be expecting another Zelda game with a good story such as this one.

A new Zelda is ALWAYS cause for celebration- this is no exception. Though a remake of a classic, the fresh coat of paint is nice. Just exudes charm!

Omg, what can i say that the game as not say for itself. Its awesommmmmmeeeee. I played it 5 time in total to the complete end. Once when i got it, then in hero mode, then in normal mode as a theif , then in normal mode without dying and then finally in normal mode to teach my child how to play her game. Lol lol. I love game would recommend buying it, also purchasing it from bestbuy waso easy and affordable.

Having played most Classic Zelda games, I was really looking forward to this one. It's a fantastic remake with amazing charm and a high, undeniable cuteness-factor. However, don't let the adorable visuals keep you from this one of a kind adventure. The controls are tight, the puzzles are well balanced, and the action is spot on. While there is the occasional slow down, it's over quickly, and never affects battles. Stop reading and get this game!

This was a gift for my daughter's birthday. She is a big Zelda fan, I claim that as a parenting win.
