A cute remake of the 1993 classic

In contrast with the relative seriousness and gravity of other games in the Zelda series, this one revels in being goofy and whimsical, which reflects in the people, puzzles, plotline, and art direction. While you can explore freely, most of the required exploration is linear and well-hinted, and the fast travel system minimizes the pain of any backtracking required. I had a lot of fun with this one over a series of evenings. The game is not super long (making it more approachable than some of the other games in the series), and I was never bored while playing. Definitely worth a play.

THis has been a fun game and the first one I have actively tried to get to the end on. While I'm not there yet, the game has kept me engaged enough to keep working at it until I get there. The graphics and game play are much improved from the original releases back on the Gameboy and SNES.

This is a great remake of a Nintendo classic. Almost a perfect game with the exception of having some mysterious framerate hiccups. Would still recommend

Loving being able to play what my brother used to play in a 3D world, I remember playing some of the original, and this is just sparking memories! Super cute, I’ve definitely had to google some help but I’m figuring it out!

Never beat the original game on game boy but loved getting to replay with such cute graphics and to truly 100% the game years later.

This is a great remake of the original. The graphics are delightfully cartoony, and the controls are very tight. I hope they use the engine to remake a few of the other Zelda titles (Oracle of Ages/Seasons, anyone?). I'd really like to see the original NES Zelda given this treatment, too.

This is a remake of one of the first games i ever played on gameboy and they did an amazing job. I couldnt be happier with how it turned out. There are moments where they added new monsters in but they all work with the style of gameplay and i would give it 6 stars if i could.

Bought this for my husband and 5yr old son for Christmas. Hubby beat it fairly quickly compared to the newer version, which took him quite some time. However, the quicker he beat it, the quicker our son got to play, so no big deal. They both enjoyed it a lot.

Great game and great graphics on the switch. The only problem is priced high for only around 14 hours of gameplay. Still much like the original and new and improved graphics. If your a Zelda gamer and love the games the hours don’t matter only playing the game. Highly recommend to anyone.

Most people played the original Link’s Awakening and then bought this one. I did the opposite, this made me go out and buy the Gameboy DX version and digital one on the 2DS XL. Fun and addictive game so I had to stop myself from playing for a while to regain my sanity and my nights back.

This game is just beautiful. It's the same game with minor quality of life improvements. And of course the art style. At times, the game looks like little toys in a diorama being brought to life on my 4k samaung qled. The game is beautiful, nostalgic and fun. Cannot reccomend enough.

This game is based off a gameboy game, that was rereleased on a gameboy color now for the Switch. Game plays like the old ones but it has more buttons and amazing game overall. If you are on the fence about it I say give it a go I wasn't to sure at 1st but it's one of my favs now.

This is an excellent old school Zelda game. It's a remake of the Gameboy game from about 30 years ago but with the graphical overall you would never know. If you are a Zelda fan and like the original Zelda on the NES or the Super Nintendo Link to the Past I think you will love this game.

For a game basically unchanged except for new graphics, audio, and some better gameplay, its surprisingly short for a modern game, coming in at under 15 hours. Its not a bad paint job though - though I wish the headache-inducing haze at edges of screen on the overworld were an option to toggle on or off. The create-your-own-dungeon mechanics of Dampe's Shack are the best new feature, although the difficulty of dungeons you create yourself are mostly limited to the monsters' strength rather than navigational complexity or puzzles. Suitable for all ages.

Let me star off by saying that i hate most remakes of games. They seem to either use the old graphics scaled up or redo them entirely and loose the feel of the original completely. This game did it right. They redid the graphics but kept the original style gameplay. Its simply perfect.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a faithful 3D full-color HD remake of the Game Boy version. While everything got an upgrade there is also a brand new dungeon creator feature that allows for added replay value. And don't forget to break out the Zelda related Amiibo for bonuses.

The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening was my first ever Zelda game on my OG gameboy. When the remake came out I was super excited of course to revisit my favorite childhood game. The new design and graphics are amazing. All in all, I really enjoyed this nostalgic game.

This game is amazing. I remember playing this on the original gameboy and having a great time. It was a welcome distraction from all the beatings my dad gave me. The art style in the remake is colorful and the controls have been modified to work well with the Switch. Highly recommended
