I never played the original game but I’m really enjoying this game as a first time player. The motion controls are pretty good they seem to respond best when I have have the switch in table top mode. Even in docked mode it does good but in my experience it’s been better on table top.

I bought this game for my husband. He's a Zelda nerd from way back on NES :-) He loves it! We both play it. He's already beat it twice and now playing hero mode. If you're thinking about it, do it! Awesome game and storyline. It's definitely addicting once you start.

I was pleasantly surprised. I had heard so many bad things about the game but I think it’s great. I prefer solving puzzles over fighting bosses and this game has a good balance. It’s going back to traditional Zelda that we lost with botw. If you love Zelda, this game is a must have

Playing this on the Switch has made the game much more enjoyable for me. Sure, it's a little quirky in some spots, but it's mostly better without the Wiimotes (for me, anyways). Other than that, it plays pretty similarly to the Wii version, albeit with slightly improved graphics.

So far having a fun time playing this game. It was a bit hard to get used to the button controls at first but gradually gets better the more and more you play. I definitely think everyone should try to add this to their collection of play and experience a new story in the franchise.

Great game with awkward controls. I ended up playing as if it were Ocarina of time. I skipped the right stick secondary function to move the camera and instead used L2 to refocus the camera angle. Even with the awkward controls, this is a huge step up from the Wii original controls.

4.5/5, 0.5 of because both button and motion control is not good enough. The other parts of the game, the story, the gameplay, the map,and the music are all amazing! Buying from BestBuy can also earn some ticker which is beautiful to decal both phones and switch console.

A bad Zelda game is still a good game

While not the best Zelda game and far from the likes of BOTW and others in the series, it’s still pretty solid. Many areas can feel a bit uncreative for Zelda and the controls can be pretty frustrating many times. However, the story is so monumental for series that I had to play. And on discount, this is a great pickup

    Good game, B- Zelda game

Even a "bad" Zelda game is typically a good game. The game starts a bit slow, but gets into adventuring soon enough. There are two modes: Motion controls, and "standard" controls. They both have their foibles. The control feels a little tighter in Standard mode, but using the sword is a lot easier with Motion controls. Probably subject to your own experience though. This is a more typical Zelda game. Almost nothing like Breath of the Wild.

Loves this game on Wii. Took a little getting used to with Switch but all is good. HD looks great! Love Zelda games and after BOTW it was good to get back to classic dungeons. If you love Zelda games and never played Skyward Sword, NOW is the time to take up sword and shield!!

It’s a classic, the mechanicals might feel odd at first but overall an enjoyable game. Keep in mind this game was originally created for Wii mechanics so it definitely feel like Nintendo tried to keep some sort of similar experience as playing this game for the Wii.

Enhances a few things from the original. The amiibo is super useful. The motion controls are still difficult to get used to but the option for playing without them is a great addition

Controls are a little clumsy and you have to reset the gyro a lot, but the game is still really fun.

I’ve never played this game before and I was blown away by how good it was. They fixed all the issues with this remake and the graphics look AMAZING!!!! I was really not expecting it to be as good as it was. I think anyone who buys this game will definitely enjoy it.

This is a video game. If you like to play video games you should try this one. It has a very original main character that has never been featured in any other games on the Sega Dreamcast. The main character Zelda has a sword and can stab bad guys in the face. Buy it now!

I never finished this game when I got it for my WiiU. I just couldn't get past the motion controls with the Wii controller. The motion controls adapted for the Switch's Joy-Cons work so very much better, and I absolutely loved finally getting to play through this story.

This game gives this remaster everything it needed and more. The graphics really give it a breath of freah air. Thankfully it doesnt end with surface upgrades becauae game mechanics have also been improved. Keep them coming Nintendo this was a welcome back event.
