Zelda games are my favorite
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is fun going back in time to play the games I played on the original systems. Makes me remember just how far the video and music have come in this series. It’s also amazing just how much I forgot about the game play and what I needed to do next. I figured it all out again. Fun times!

QoL upgrades to a great game
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid remaster with several QoL upgrades compared to the original and the WiiU port. Not only are you able to switch between motion controls and stick controls, but you can now skip cutscenes! You no longer have to read what an Amber relic does every time you boot the game. The lack of these features held back the fun potential of the previous versions, but this remaster is focuses on what makes Zelda games fun!

Handheld Controls Are Great!

I finally get to finish it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember playing this on the wii. Sadly never got to finish it. Still have the old copy but no longer the wii. Now that is on the switch I would finally finish it this time. I have the switch lite so I was skeptical on how it was going to be play handheld mode… gotta say… its great! I will say at first it would feel odd but you’ll get used to the mechanics. I highly recommended to new comers and even old fans of the franchise!

Great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game. Even though it is not a full remaster, all the original charm is still there. Frame rate has been smooth and controls responsive.

Worth it! Total Nostalgia!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was a big part of my childhood and im so happy they brought it to Switch. They've upped the quality of the animations, overall look (hence the "HD"), took out unnecessary tutorials/dialog, and kept the environment pretty close to the original while also making it look better. They even added a couple new easter eggs (have fun finding them) My one complaint is the controls (for reference, I use the pro controller). You have to hold a button just to look around, which is a bit weird considering that the original never had that. The controls in general take some getting used to (especially if you're a Breath of the Wild veteran) but overall i dont mind some weird controls. Im honestly jealous that there's Zelda fans out there experiencing this story for the first time in HD while the rest of us had to recalibrate our Wii remotes every 20 mins lol.

This is Not Breath of the wild 2. Save your money.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While, I did own a Wii, I never bought Skyward Sword when it came out. Since I'm an adult who values doing as little as possible when I'm home from a 15 hour shift at work, this game has little appeal to me. I'm glad they changed the control scheme so I can use my Nintendo Pro controller. After playing it though the controls feel clunky, and kinda makes the game play feel off. I get that it was designed with motion controls in mind, so the new control scheme doesn't feel so fluid.... THIS IS NOT BREATH OF THE WILD 2. Save your money.

One of my new favorites in the Zelda series!

A Remaster Worth Owning
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've played nearly every Zelda game on every platform, and this one is definitely one worth owning. Skyward Sword wasn't the best game from the outset, but there is no denying the remaster is better than the original.

Solid Zelda Game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far it's a fun game but the motion controls are a bit tricky and at times annoying. I think it's something you get used to though. You can also turn off the motion controls but it's makes the camera more difficult to use.

Great Zelda Game
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Zelda game as usual. HD version has option to use button controls in lieu of motion controls. Game seems improved in all areas.

Nee Controls.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Played the original on WiiU. Never finised becaue i hated the controls. With the new button layout the game is much easier to play. Still a bit odd with the right analog stick as the swing, but still better. Good story for any Zelds fan.

Great Port of an Amazing Game
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I missed playing Skyward Sword when it first came out, so was excited to get to play through it on Switch. While Breath of the Wild brought on a new style of open-ended Zelda games, Skyward Sword is in the more traditional mode of progressing from dungeon to dungeon. I was impressed by how challenging these dungeons got and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the series.

A much needed port
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yet another classic from the Zelda franchise (if you don't hate motion controls), brings back great memories of the Wii era, and I'm glad we have a uniquely motion controlled adventure with Link

Very entertaining game…
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely amazing game. Granted it’s just a remake, but it has a solid story line and unlike other people, I enjoy the controls.

Welcome addition to the Zelda family
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't recall playing this when it came out for the Wii so was really excited to give it a shot. I played with the controller not motion controls and found it really easy and intuitive. This is definitely a different experience than BOTW which a much more linear path of progression. While the world felt a little small, the dungeons were interesting and engaging without ever being too difficult. If you like Zelda you'll love this, if you want open world it's probably not your thing.
