Skyward sword is most nostalgic game ever played in the switch

It was my least favorite Zelda when it released back in 2011 for $50, so, naturally, I had to buy the remaster for $60 when it released ten years later. My opinion of the game has not changed.

Daughter wanted game for road trip. She played for the 10-hour plus trip both ways. Also played with cousins during the trip

my son loves zelda and has most of the games ,but me myslef im old school and i love the old zelda games ,but zelda over all is cool

Bought this for my son and was a great buy as it entertained him for a long time.

very fun game. but the remote sensor is very problematic, I have to use the controller instead of the sensor. 5 months later, i am still stuck at the last boss battle. You would need a lot of those online guide to save your time.

Love it my husband alway go mad, start to scream and fight with the game evertime he can't pass one side of the game is very funny.

They improved some of the most annoying stuff from the Wii entry but the 59.99 price tag is a little too much for my taste, regardless it is a good game and a entertaining one at that.

I played the wii version up to the part where you have to collect the tears in the special container but have to start over if anything touches you (a sequence stolen from the far superior Twilight Princess and made far worse) and completely lost interest. Fighting the terrible controls was bad enough but having to redo an entire sequence because something touched you was too much. I put it down and never picked it up again. This was several years ago. Well, against my better judgment I gave this a try hoping the button controls would actually make it playable. Once again, a first-party switch game was hugely disappointing. I quickly discovered that the button controls were heavily inspired by the motion controls in that they were unusable. Just moving the right stick swings your sword, while holding a number button and moving the right stick moves the camera. I wish there was an option to reverse this, but I guess it is important that the Hero of Hyrule would rather swing his sword than turn his head. I could not even get past a skulltula in the first dungeon with these controls. I put it down for a week before deciding to see if the motion controls were improved at all. The answer is a resounding “NO”. To fight a skulltula, you swing horizontally to get it spinning and then jab forward to stab it. Cool in theory, but stabbing usually translates to anything but stab. I didn’t think it was possible for this to be worse than the original, but I never even finished the first dungeon before the cartridge was put back into its case and placed on my shelf to forevermore serve a reminder to not buy first-party switch games anymore, as they have all been mediocre at best.

The quality of life improvements with the game are nice and the Switch version is the preferable way to play this game but it still feels like Nintendo could have done more with this especially considering it's Zelda's 35th Aniversary.

The soundtrack. That CD is gently worn from all the listening.

Excited to play this game. Came brand new and box. Bummer it’s a remake but seems like they did a good job. Get that price match!

Played Breath of the Wild and loved it. Once I saw this was available wanted to go down the rabbit hole, wish me luck

been waiting for all the wii classics to come to switch. so much fun to play the old games on the updated systems

This game was for my daughter who is a big Zelda fan. She enjoyed playing this game but said that the graphic is not so great. The whole game looks hazy so it’s not her favorite Zelda game out of the whole collection that she owns.

Not the best Zelda but this is the definitive version of Skyward Sword.
