I got Nintendo Thumb, but it was worth it

I literally could not put this game down the first few days after purchasing it. Unfortunately I had to take a break, not because anything in the game was bad, but because the Switch isn't very ergonomic in handheld mode and my wrists and thumbs were starting to hurt (I have since purchased a grip, which has alleviated this problem entirely. Would highly recommend doing this if you play exclusively in handheld mode). What I'm trying to say is that this is one of the most engrossing games I've ever played. There's just so much to do right out of the box, but you can do it all at your own pace! And even after beating the game, there's still so much to explore and play around with! My only complaint is that I wish it had been $60 instead of $70, but that's my gripe with Nintendo, not Best Buy. Still, I've gotten more than my money's worth out of it, and I'll continue to enjoy it for years to come.

Do not pre-order games from Best Buy if you cannot pick it up. They do not do launch shipping and I have yet to play the game.

Not a game for me. Otherwise its well made. Too many puzzle solving for me, can't turn my brain off while playing like I can with Skyrim.

Not a fan of this game. The open world gameplay for Zelda is not my style.

Seriously this issue is way too common for a big retail chain. I preordered in february with the intent of being able to play the game on release day. Didn't ship til late release day morning and says i won't get it til the 15th. I literally could've just walked into any store and bought it to avoid this bs.

Tears of the Kingdom is a MUST PLAY

    Posted .

If you're a gamer, and you have a Nintendo Switch, you must play Tears of the Kingdom. If you're a gamer but you DON'T have a Switch, save up to buy one so you can play Tears of the Kingdom. If you're not a gamer at all, well, you're missing out! I've been a gamer for over 35 years. In that time frame I've played A LOT of great games, many of which are perpetually in the conversation for "greatest game of all time." Well, Tears of the Kingdom has been out for a week now, and I can say that it has skyrocketed into the GOAT conversation, and, for me, sits right at that number 1 spot. I knew this game was going to be great, but I had no idea the magic that the developers on the Zelda team over at Nintendo were going to cram into that tiny cartridge. As a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom takes place in the same game world and re-uses many of the same assests of its predecessor. But it utilizes those assets in brilliant ways to create a new, fresh, and very improved gaming experience. TOTK improves on BOTW in every way imaginable. There's more quests, more character interactions, a heftier story, more epic music, and a HUGE dose of the charming weirdness that characterizes many Zelda games. One criticism that was aimed at BOTW was that, while it was a great game, it didn't exactly "feel" like a Zelda game. TOTK has gone above and beyond to rectify this. Not only does it feel like a Zelda game, it has now become the quintessential and definitive Zelda experience. Oh yeah, there's a ton of new game mechanics and abilities that are technically jaw-dropping. There's a reason other game developers are looking at this masterpiece and asking themselves one question: "How? How did Nintendo craft such a massive, technically impressive game given the limited hardware of the Switch?" So, if you're on the fence about this game, don't be. Get it and be treated to the most organic, natural feeling game world ever created. Climb mountains, spelunk in the caves, free-fall from the sky islands, photograph the wildlife, collect treasures, create robots, feed the doggies, or simply take your horse out for a run on the beach. But whatever you do, don't miss out on a once in a lifetime game experience.

I am very disappointed. On February 22 I preorder this game. The game was supposed to arrive on May 12 but arrived on May 15. Next time when I see something I like is coming, I'm going to wait when come out to go to the store and buy it if is available.

A bland and tedious game. The game is very boring as you run through an empty world and the combat very innovative. It runs poorly with fps drops on an OLED switch model.

Made the preorder back in February. Was expecting that it will arrive release day or at least close to release day. I received the preorder bonus on release day but no game. The game did not even come until the 16th. What was the point of preordering.

Tracking is showing my package won't arrive until next Tuesday. Best Buy is a complete joke. I should have known better than to trust them again. I'll never pre-order from Best Buy again. My kid was really looking forward to playing this weekend.
