Much like Breath of the Wild before it, Tears of the Kingdom again abandons franchise traditions and conventions, this time in favor of Minecraft. Whether or not that's a good thing will depend on the player.

Does not feel like it should have taken 6 years to make, as it was originally a dlc for botw. Miss some of the powers and things from the original, but overall an excellent addition to the franchise

This is a 4/5 video game but a 2/5 Zelda game. The parts you will enjoy the most have nothing to do with the very short, very so-so story. You're basically paying $70 to mess about and blow up Koroks.

Too much emphasis on fusion and crafting which is tedious and not as fun/relaxing as the first game. Although if you have the time you can craft some really fun stuff. Be prepared to be frustrated, though.

The Zonai abilities are awesome Flower bombs return Bosses was way better this time & don't look all the same. Actual "Temples " though didn't feel like Temples. Better than Botw in that regard. Shrines return again not good Memories scattered again not good The thing with Tears of the Kingdom is from how ambitious Botw was. It's a game that relies on the player being unfamiliar, and the newness of everything was what made it work. The story is to uninteresting to warrant a same map which at this point has lost the "Wow Factor" because your familiar with all the areas, & same asset sequel that cost $70. I can't speak for everyone and I did love Botw ,but I really wasn't interested in spending full price for a similar game with only sky platforms & silly vehicles contraptions I can put together. Both Botw & Totk just feels like TV seasons where the episode order doesn't matter only the first episode & the finale lol This is In relation to the memories, & you can even spoil yourself again if not in the correct order. You can also beat the game & know none of the story Arc. Which is exactly what happened to me. Shares the same issues that Botw has essentially but, Feels like overpriced DLC , A solid game if anything. & I did enjoy the game despite this mess lol
