If you loved Breath of the Wild you'll love this. If you didn't, well you'll get more of the same here. Solid open world sandbox sequel that doesn't try to break the mold. Fun

If you enjoyed Breath of the Wild, you'll enjoy Tears of the Kingdom. The world feels like it's the same size but also feels like it's doubled because of the underground world you can explore as well as the sky. This game feels more like a Legend of Zelda game as compared to Breath of the Wild which was nice, but still kind of long for that real Legend of Zelda charm that the previous games had. I kind of find myself getting bored with these games after I've beat them as compared to the previous Zelda games. After I beat Breath of the Wild, I never went back to it and have really no desire to explore and get all the treasures because I already beat the game. Tears of the Kingdom is a little better paced but again, beat it and now I'm not interested in exploring more of what the game has. Not saying it's a bad game because it's a good one. I'm just getting bored with this kind of Zelda game now. Would love to have something like Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess again. I know those games are linear, but it felt like you were actually leveling up with all the gear you were finding along the way. The satisfaction is a little better in Tears of the Kingdom as compared to Breath of the Wild which is nice, but still it misses that mark with me. Would still recommend a play through for the Zelda fans, but you definitely don't need to rush to buy this game and play it. It's cool, but nothing special.

Nintendo didban amazing job at making this game stand apart and shine above breath of the wild there is so much more to explore and so much more to experiment with with the new mechanics.

The Game That Brought Me to TEARS...

Its been a while since a game actually brought me to literal tears (hehe see what I did there?). I've been a fan of these games since I was a 90s kid and my dad was introducing me to Ocarina of Time on the N64. To say I've grown up with The Legend of Zelda at the forefront of my childhood is a complete understatement, and Tears of the Kingdom felt like an all around ode to the child storytellers and world builders that we are. Yes, this is considered a glorified DLC to many returning players, but if you have as much love and devotion to this story as those like myself, it will still drive you to play through it for countless hours, and even to revisit it well over a year after its release. With the NS2 coming out, I can't think of a better time to purchase this game and live through this experience.

Immersive, and good for many age range. My husband and his brother (30s) and both my children (10 & under) love the game, as well as my 17yr old niece. Awesome attention to detail and graphics. My only issue is the repetitive attack sounds made in battle, and the fairy sounds a little sus.

(Spoiler free) I Love this game!!! It makes breath of the wild look like a tech demo with all of the it’s new features and abilities but, the story is definitely sometimes lacking and feels repetitive in a certain area . This repetition actually made me skip certain cutsences because i already knew what the characters were going to say. To be honest if your looking of an amazing story, this game isn’t for you. Even so, just exploring the massive (and I mean MASSIVE) map is already insanely fun paired with an awesome crafting system which lets you create you own custom vehicles and weapons any point in the game only makes this game even better. 9.5/10

What can be said that professional reviewers haven’t said already? This game is simply pure videogame magic. There’s never been anything quite like it. Myself and my 3 children all have our own files going and have all discovered vastly different things and are tackling the game in our own unique ways. It’s hard to talk to each other with our discoveries without spoiling something for someone else. Different things catch our eyes and different mechanics have drawn us in to all have our very own adventures and it’s truly breathtaking. The way we get together and talk about it is almost like being back on the playgrounds in the ‘80s or ‘90s again.

What is there to say? This is an awesome follow up to Breath of the Wild. There is so much to do, so many secrets and hidden things, and it is all fun. Nintendo outdid themselves.

Mind blowing multi-tier world bends your preconceived notion of a Zelda game. Puzzles can be solved in an endless number of ways, like the previous entry. Unlike the previous entry you can go underground and in the skies. This is the epitome and next level of the Zelda BOTW experience.

I’m a legend of Zelda fan since 1983. I’ve enjoyed every Zelda game I’ve played which is all but a few titles. Nintedo is tops when it comes to game design and Tears of the Kingdom meets the high degree Nintendo maintains. I pre-ordered Tears in February, the same day Best Buy offered it for pre-order. Tears is very similar to Breath of the wild so it could’ve been called Breath of the Wild 2. Make no mistake though, there is much, much new challenges, territories to explore and strategies to investigate. If you’re like me and love exploring, solving puzzles and choosing when to engage in a fight-you’ll love Tears of the Kingdom.

The skies just got bigger. But look below your feet, because you never know what lurks beneath. Tears of the Kingdom just expanded the already gigantic world of Breath of the Wild. But even if you're a veteran beware. Monsters are beefier and your gear still breaks. But now you have new tools and abilities. Time to take on the world again This game is beautiful but has some performance issues. The game does its best but you will notice some frame drops. Other music is just as great as always. From peaceful fields, chilling mountains, to ominous stretches of gloom. You will definitely want to keep playing this title for weeks on end
