If you enjoyed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you are certain to love this latest installment in the series. It has the same classic Zelda charm that makes the series so fun to play, along with new innovations to keep the gameplay fresh that build functionally and improve upon the existing mechanics of Breath of the Wild. I have played well over 100 hours and feel as though I have barely scratched the surface of the sheer extent of freedom offered to players in this game. On top of everything, it has an incredible and engaging story to press players into investing into this iteration of Hyrule all the more. I highly recommend this game, and hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Awesome game. So much to explore and do. Improves on Breath of the Wild and scales up the area to explore. Difficult at first, but immensely fun once you have gained more hearts and stamina.

This has easily been the most fun I’ve had playing a video game in ages. Breath of the Wild was great. This somehow makes it feel like a proof of concept tech demo. It’s the same basic overworld map, that’s true. But things have changed enough so that it still feels fresh and fun to explore. Then you add the new areas on top of that. The creativity this game encourages is just mind blowing. The “dungeons” still aren’t your classic Zelda dungeons (I will always probably prefer the Twilight Princess style dungeons), but they are a step up from BOTW’s Divine Beasts. Still, easily worth 5 stars. If you have a Switch, you need to play it. This game is awesome.

Very good gameplay. Very interesting interactive game with a good story to it. But the lack of graphical output from the Nintendo Switch hardware really hinders this game from its glory. I am surprised Nintendo has not come out with a new switch yet with upgraded hardware in late 2023. It just really destroys this game from being absolutely stunning . Shout out to the Zelda developers for being able to utlize as much as possible to make the graphics as best they can. But even then it just goes to show the lack of graphical power the switch has compared to its competitors in 2023. Nintendo dropped the ball and made Zelda developers pay for it. Great game on a average spec hardware console. If you ask me would I recommend it? Yes if all you own is a Nintendo Switch . If not I would save my money and get the PS5 exclusive Spiderman 2 that just released.

What an absolute masterpiece that continues the new standard for open-world gaming. From the moment I stepped foot into the vast and breathtaking world of Hyrule, I was captivated by its sheer beauty and boundless possibilities. Nintendo has truly outdone themselves with this remarkable entry in the beloved Legend of Zelda franchise. One of the most impressive aspects of this game is its sense of freedom. Unlike many other games, it doesn't hold your hand or restrict your exploration. Hyrule is an expansive playground, inviting you to chart your own path and discover its secrets at your own pace. Whether you choose to climb towering mountains, traverse serene meadows, or brave treacherous dungeons, every step feels like a personal choice that shapes your unique adventure. The attention to detail in this game is nothing short of astonishing. The world is brimming with life, from the rustling of leaves in the wind to the subtle changes in weather that affect the environment. The dynamic day-night cycle adds a sense of realism and immersion rarely seen in other games. I found myself constantly awestruck by the beautiful landscapes, diverse wildlife, and intricately designed structures scattered throughout Hyrule. Combat in this game is a thrilling experience. The game provides you with a wide range of weapons and abilities, allowing for creative and strategic approaches to battles. Whether it's engaging in intense sword fights, utilizing the environment to your advantage, or experimenting with the game's physics-based mechanics, each encounter feels exhilarating and rewarding. The puzzles and shrines that populate the land are brilliantly designed, offering a satisfying blend of challenge and ingenuity. These brain teasers require you to think outside the box, often rewarding you with valuable loot or new abilities upon completion. The sense of accomplishment that accompanies solving these puzzles is incredibly gratifying, making you feel like a true hero of legend. The narrative is both captivating and emotionally resonant. Unveiling the story bit by bit as you explore the vast world and encounter memorable characters adds depth and intrigue to the overall experience. The game masterfully weaves together a tale of hope, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of adventure that is synonymous with the Legend of Zelda series. Lastly, I must commend the game's art direction and soundtrack. The cel-shaded visuals are a true visual feast, giving the game a distinct and timeless aesthetic. The music perfectly complements the grandeur and intimacy of your journey, evoking a wide range of emotions that will stay with you long after you put down the controller. This game is an absolute triumph and a must-play for any gaming enthusiast. Its vast open world, freedom of exploration, meticulous attention to detail, engaging combat, challenging puzzles, and compelling narrative combine to create an unforgettable experience. Nintendo has once again shown their mastery in crafting a game that transcends boundaries and sets a new benchmark for excellence in the gaming industry. Prepare to embark on an epic adventure that will leave you breathless.

Absolutely love this game! It takes everything we have loved about Zelda over the years, as well as a fantastic open world play, and makes it that much better. The graphics are great and the story/gameplay follow breath of the wild directly. I loved that my registered horses were even automatically added to the game. I would highly recommend this game to both older and newer gamers as this has the right mixture of adventure, puzzle games, and action making for hours and hours of fun. The fact that you can get so many hours of gameplay out of this makes it completely worth the price.

I was a big fan of this games prequal, Breath of the Wild (BOTW). When Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK) was officially announced I was very excited to jump back into the same world and re-explore Hyrule. This new Hyrule surprised me with the amount of changes made. There are 2 whole new areas to explore, new mechanics, a much better story, new enemies, new items, new combat opportunitues, and of course 900 new koroks (if you're into that sort of thing). I went into TOTK mostly blind with high expectations, and I am ecstatic to say my expectations were still blown out of the water. 9/10 (would be a 10/10 but you still can't pet the dogs)

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is arguably one of the best games of all time across all platforms. It's a genre defining titan among a sea of watered down copycats and clones. Though, no matter how hard those other games have tried, not one of them has managed to capture the heart and soul of this series. Breath of the Wild awakened something inside of me that was buried deep within my childhood. It rekindled that amazing sense of wonder and exploration I use to have as a kid. It was an incredible gaming experience on its own. That being said, Tears of the Kingdom took that nearly flawless formula and somehow managed to improve upon it in several ways. This sequel really is the definitive experience between the two, but both are incredible titles in their own ways. I won't spoil anything, but trust me when I say, this is the one of the best Legend of Zelda games in the entire franchise. (And I've played all of them, even the classics!) I've already spent 500+ hours in TOTK's world and I still manage to stumble across new and exciting things. It really encourages and rewards creativity. It has an incredible voiceover cast. The soundtrack is second to none and I still can't figure out how they managed to squeeze such a beautiful, plush, open world out of the Nintendo Switch's bland hardware. The game looks gorgeous! I honestly can't recommend Tears of the Kingdom enough. It truly is one of the best games of all time.

Ah, where do I even begin with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? It's one of those rare gems that manages to captivate your heart from the very first note of its enchanting soundtrack. As an avid gamer and lifelong fan of the Zelda franchise, this latest installment on the Nintendo Switch has left me in awe, reminding me of the sheer magic and wonder that gaming can bring. First and foremost, let's talk about the world. Hyrule has never looked so breathtakingly beautiful. From lush forests to towering mountains, every corner is teeming with life and attention to detail. The art direction and visual design are nothing short of a masterpiece. The vibrant colors, the play of light and shadow, and the meticulously crafted environments make you feel like you're stepping into a living, breathing painting. But what truly sets Tears of the Kingdom apart is its heartfelt narrative. The story unfolds with a perfect balance of mystery, adventure, and emotional depth. From the humble beginnings to the grand climax, you'll find yourself emotionally invested in Link's journey, feeling every triumph and setback alongside him. The characters you encounter along the way are wonderfully fleshed out, each with their own motivations and secrets to uncover. It's a testament to the game's storytelling prowess that you'll form genuine connections with these virtual companions. Of course, no Zelda game would be complete without puzzles and dungeons, and Tears of the Kingdom delivers them in spades. The puzzle design is ingeniously crafted, often requiring you to think outside the box and experiment with your arsenal of tools. It's that "Aha!" moment when you finally solve a complex puzzle that brings an incredible sense of accomplishment and fuels your determination to conquer the next challenge. And the dungeons... oh, the dungeons! They are masterfully designed, filled with ingenious traps, formidable enemies, and mind-bending puzzles that will test your skills and keep you on your toes. Each one feels unique and offers a distinct gameplay experience, making the exploration of Hyrule even more enticing. The gameplay mechanics are polished to perfection. Whether you're gracefully traversing the landscape on horseback, engaging in exhilarating combat, or utilizing the game's impressive physics engine to solve puzzles, every action feels responsive and satisfying. The intuitive controls make it easy to immerse yourself in the adventure, allowing you to focus on the joy of exploration and discovery. And let's not forget the music. The melodies in Tears of the Kingdom are a symphony of nostalgia and innovation. From the iconic Zelda themes to the hauntingly beautiful original compositions, the soundtrack is a true auditory delight. It elevates every moment, enhancing the emotional impact of the story and creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

People were worried that it would just be some glorified DLC of BOTW. Really?! An expansive open world that seems familiar but is still unique is the setting for this sequel to one of the best games ever. With the sky islands and the gloomy chasms below, it adds more mileage with missions to explore. Many creatures are the same, some with a small twist, but there are quite a few new species to keep you occupied. The fusing and building mechanics, however, are what take this sequel over the top and add hours of fun and discovery to the extraordinary experience of its gameplay.

It is by far one of the best games that was released in 2023. Since the last game the graphics, and mechanics have improved. Thankfully the storyline is not the same as the previous game. As you play through the game you can tell how much work and care was put into this game

This game is honestly a masterpiece. I knew it would be a good game even if it wasn't a good zelda game, but WOW I was blown away. It has everything I've wanted in a zelda game: the large world of Breath of the Wild to explore and find cool stuff, and numerous puzzles throughout the game. Also, they brought back dungeons! I wanted more dungeons because I love dungeons, but I really liked the ones in this game. Overall, I'm shocked at how much content is in this game. I don't know what the next zelda game will be like, but they just set the bar really high for themselves. Highly recommend.

I'm amazed at how Nintendo was able to sell me "Breath of the Wild" again, and made me fall in love with it all over again. Tears of the Kingom is a true sequel to BOTW, it's essentially the same game BUT very different. They added so many new features, added extra layers to Hyrule, there is way more to explore and more things to collect. The story is very good and the ending is rewarding. I absolutely love this game. It's looking like it's a locked "Game of the Year" again for Zelda. I don't see anything beating it, even with all the great games we have gotten so far in 2023.

One of the GOTYs nominees for 2023 in my opinion. Tears of the Kingdom takes everything that you loved about Breath of the Wild and added to it. Creative mechanics make this open world adventure game seem even more boundless, see a mountain in the distance you don’t just have to walk over to it and climb it you can make a device that flys you there and then scales it for you. A wonderful journey that is new and exciting but able to couple it with traditional elements of Zelda games. A worthwhile purchase.

Ive been playing TOTK in my spare time between work and whenever i can- ive clocked at least 50 hours at this point… and ive still barely knocked a dent in it. This game has redefined the idea of an open world concept by making it 3 levels of open worlds. There is an endless amount of things to do and places to explore, all while staying true to the core principles of a zelda game. In the time that ive played i havent experienced any glitches or issues (hard copy game). I absolutely love it and will continue playing until i reach 100% completion!

Continuing the story from BotW, the latest entry in the Legend of Zelda series is a masterpiece. As one of few direct sequels, it seamlessly immerses the player in the kingdom of Hyrule, recently recoverd from the Calamity. As Link journeys to restore himself, the player is introduced to the ancient land of Hyrule, a new kingdom facing a major threat from the evil king Ganondorf, who seeks nothing short of world domination. As link realises his new powers, he contends with the forces of the demon king to finally bring peace to the land
