The game is one of the most beautiful Zelda games released. The game has a bit of a steep learning curve that compliments the new levels of creative elements of the game very well. The expanded world feels more real and more immersive than the world in Breath of the Wild. It would be a surprise if this game isn't a contender for game of the year.

I don’t normally play video games but had decided to give this a try since my husband is a big gamer, and I absolutely love this game. It’s open world concept is so entertaining and there’s so much to do, there are plenty of missions to complete and it is also very entertaining just to run around the map and explore all 3 sections of the map.

I recently got my hands on "Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" and let me just say, this game absolutely deserves a full five-star rating! From the opening scene to the final showdown, it kept me thoroughly engaged and on the edge of my seat. The storytelling is immaculate. It brings together the best elements of the Zelda universe, weaving a captivating narrative that tugs at the heartstrings and fuels the adventurous spirit. The new world design is breathtaking, with each kingdom and dungeon meticulously crafted to challenge and delight players. The gameplay mechanics are superb and intuitive. The combat feels responsive, the puzzles are ingenious, and the in-game character development creates an enriching experience that resonates long after you've turned off the console. But what makes "Tears of the Kingdom" stand out is its emotional depth. This game takes the franchise to new heights, delving into a poignant narrative while still delivering the epic quests and iconic characters we've come to love from Zelda. If you're a Zelda fan or even just a fan of adventure games, don't hesitate! "Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" is an unforgettable journey that you need to experience. Truly, a masterpiece in the world of gaming!

From the moment I embarked on my journey in “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,” I knew I was in for an adventure that would both honor the legacy of its predecessor and chart new territories in the realm of open-world gaming.

If you're not sure about the addition of crafting to LOZ then I suggest borrowing the game from a friend and not spending your money. Because that's 90% of the games content right there. The game is so short and simple that they had to remove all of your progress from BOTW so you'd have something to do. Collecting armors, upgrading them, and unlocking the maps all added to the feeling of this massive quest the first time. Now it just feels repetative and leaves you with the feeling of why did I have to do this again?. If this wasn't a continuation of the last game's world and story I could reason why. Worst part is it seems they felt the need to make it ten times easier and now there is no challange to any of the shrines, temples or bosses. The temple and boss fights now included everyone's favorite irritation, the escort mission. Stripped of the previous champions powers (I'm not sure why) you now seek out new champions. Sadly these new champions act like small gremlins who just downed massive amounts of caffine and sugar. I have found nothing else so frustrating that made me cuss for a solid ten minutes than the champions running away from me while trying to activate their skill. For this reason I turned them off and sorely miss the previous skill activation method. Plus the old skills were actually useful. I'm looking at you Sidon and Yunobo. Part of the lack of content I mention earlier is TOTK added only a few new enemies and instead slapped horns or gloom on the BOTW critters and called it a day. I rely almost entirely on my bow now since a single head shot kills most enemies and I don't want to waste the few good weapons I have. I'm not sure but it feels like they reduced the total number of unique weapons so they could handle the fusion aspect. Nintendo also seens to be intent on breaking it's decades old lore with the introduction of the even weaker master sword. It'll break after killing 1-2 low class monsters all in the name of forcing you to fuse weapons. Sadly TOTK took the Borderlands route of promising millions of unique weapons. We all know how that turned out. You pick a few good items and that's about it. If someone is praising the scope of the new maps just know they are mostly barren. They pulled a fast one and made it pitch dark so it would look cool and mysterious but once you get the lights on you realize just how little there is down there. I'd mention the sky maps but there is so little there it doen't even warrant further discussion. I was so excited for this game only to be so completely let down I called to ask it's cash trade in value after a day. Please understand I enjoyed BOTW and did a second play through on hero mode trying to 100% the game. I just expected there to be more to this game than new game+ but sadly they intended the crafting system to be it's overall core and content. Pros: Still looks good. Addition of recipe list to cooking. Cons: Not much in the way of new content and the feeling of having already played this game. If you don't like the crafting mechanic then the game is a waste. Fusing weapons is another hit or miss depending on if you want to fuse apples with swords for fun or not.

Hi there! If you're checking to make sure people liked it. You're good. It is great so far :-) This is way more than an add-on to Breath of the Wild. It is a great second game in the same timeline. A lot of the mechanics are improved, the world is more than twice the size. I'd say more, but if it fits your budget, you should 100% get it :-D
