Tears of the Kingdom has done something that is difficult to do, make a sequel better than the original. The story is amazing, the gameplay is fun, the graphics are so pretty! The game has lots for you to do! Would recommend!

Great game! I've been playing it since getting it and I'm already 20+ hours in but there's others that has more than that! 20+ hours and I am no where near the middle or ending of the game. You won't be putting this game down. If you're a Zelda fan, this is the game you don't want to missed out on. It will take you a lot of hours like you did with BOTW.

This game had alot going for it. The big open world with multiple depths. The story seemed a bit more connected than botw but you have the same fun exploring. The creativity yoi can have on this game is insane

A fantastic game that's well worth $70 in terms of value. There are so many fun and creative things to do all over Hyrule. Totk improves on nearly every aspect of botw. The combat, exploration, and story are all really great.

I was shocked and delighted to discover that the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild I've been waiting for turned out so well. It takes everything that works in the original and improves it, and it takes everything that didn't and fix it. The story, while still not stellar, is also an improvement from BotW's, and the new powers gained from Link's new arm recontextualize many of the challenges. No longer can Link use bombs as much as he wishes, instead he needs to use a limited stock of bomb flowers. He can't cross lakes using pillars of ice, so now he must build boats using Ultrahand. He can climb through many solid surfaces with his Arise ability. The world of Hyrule feels so alive in this game, and the four years of wait have been more than worth it.

Tears of the Kingdom expands and improves upon Breath of the Wild in nearly every way. I did not think a game could pull me in more than Breath of the Wild did but Tears of the Kingdom did almost immediately (once I got through what amounts to the tutorial area I was hooked). The freedom to find your own solutions and decide what to focus on that was in Breath of Wild has been increased in Tears of the Kingdom. Hearing that the same map was being used was concerning to me but the additions they have made are amazing and add a ton of content. I have found myself playing for hours on end just exploring every corner of small areas of the map, coming up with different machines to build, and always coming away being amazed at how well designed this game is.

Tears of the Kingdom takes everything great about Breath of the Wild and makes it even better. The new abilities are super fun, the world is bigger and more exciting to explore, and there’s always something surprising around the corner. Whether you’re building crazy contraptions or diving into deep story moments, it’s an absolute blast from start to finish. Easily one of the best games out there!

Makes Breath of the Wild feel like a tech demo

Tears of the Kingdom makes Botw feel like a tech demo, which is saying a lot as Botw was an amazing game with tons of hours of things to do. They added so much content to Totk while also making a lot of quality of life improvements. The story is very much improved over Botw as well. Even the dungeons have received a large improvement over the previous entry. The only complaint I have is the switch obviously is having a hard time with this game as it does have some framerate issues here and there, but still runs leagues better than Pokemon Scarlet and Violet while even looking much better. But really the performance issues are not going to hinder the enjoyment you are going to get out of this game at all. Overall, if you liked Botw, I fully recommend this game.

ToTK is an unbelievable game. Full stop. It improves on what Breath of the Wild did in almost every way, and BOTW was my favorite game of all time, until I played this one. The limitless creativity and freedom that you have to do whatever you want is unmatched in gaming history. Other developers will be looking at what Nintendo did here and trying to emulate it in some way. There is so much to do in this world. It’s massive. Take the world of BOTW which was already huge in my opinion and multiply it by 3. If you take the time and do everything this game has to offer, I guarantee you’ll get at least 200 hours of pure gaming ecstasy out of this game. This one of the handful of games that I could say justifies that $69 price tag. It’s absolutely worth it.

Zelda: TotK is a HUGE game. Nearly if not double the size of Breath of the Wild! More to do and more that you yourself can do! From building your own travel machines to weaponized turrets and .... roomba's (!?!?!?!) with flame throwers, lazers, bombs, and cannons! Pretty much if you liked any of the previous Zelda games you will love this one! Are you a fan of open world free roam games? You will like this! Though to be frank this game IS harder then BotW (previous game) so it may be a little difficult for smaller children to grasp (less then 10 or so) but to everyone else I say if you have a Switch and fall into any of those catagories its a 100% buy now! TLDR: If you like any older zelda games, free roam, or open world games but it... you wont regret it!

I played BOTW, so when I heard that TOTK was being released, I preordered it immediately. TOTK has more content than BOTW and has been a joy to complete. In addition to a great story, TOTK has an amazing soundtrack. I recommend this game to anyone who likes exploration and open world environments. I believe that beginners and hardcore players would find enjoyment playing this game.

This by far the best Zelda game I’ve ever played and is filled with content, the developers did not hold back when adding new fusing capabilities such as taking object like rocks or monster parts and fusing them to weapons to give them more damage . There now also three maps instead of 1 the sky map the ground map and depth map which is underground map that spans the entire area that the ground map does, I’ve played for dozens of hours and I still haven’t completely covered all three maps. There’s also new and more powerful enemies like the gleook And More powerful lynels, and plenty of new weapons to go along with them.

If you enjoyed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you are certain to love this latest installment in the series. It has the same classic Zelda charm that makes the series so fun to play, along with new innovations to keep the gameplay fresh that build functionally and improve upon the existing mechanics of Breath of the Wild. I have played well over 100 hours and feel as though I have barely scratched the surface of the sheer extent of freedom offered to players in this game. On top of everything, it has an incredible and engaging story to press players into investing into this iteration of Hyrule all the more. I highly recommend this game, and hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

This has easily been the most fun I’ve had playing a video game in ages. Breath of the Wild was great. This somehow makes it feel like a proof of concept tech demo. It’s the same basic overworld map, that’s true. But things have changed enough so that it still feels fresh and fun to explore. Then you add the new areas on top of that. The creativity this game encourages is just mind blowing. The “dungeons” still aren’t your classic Zelda dungeons (I will always probably prefer the Twilight Princess style dungeons), but they are a step up from BOTW’s Divine Beasts. Still, easily worth 5 stars. If you have a Switch, you need to play it. This game is awesome.

[Employee of bestbuy] What an absolute masterpiece that continues the new standard for open-world gaming. From the moment I stepped foot into the vast and breathtaking world of Hyrule, I was captivated by its sheer beauty and boundless possibilities. Nintendo has truly outdone themselves with this remarkable entry in the beloved Legend of Zelda franchise. One of the most impressive aspects of this game is its sense of freedom. Unlike many other games, it doesn't hold your hand or restrict your exploration. Hyrule is an expansive playground, inviting you to chart your own path and discover its secrets at your own pace. Whether you choose to climb towering mountains, traverse serene meadows, or brave treacherous dungeons, every step feels like a personal choice that shapes your unique adventure. The attention to detail in this game is nothing short of astonishing. The world is brimming with life, from the rustling of leaves in the wind to the subtle changes in weather that affect the environment. The dynamic day-night cycle adds a sense of realism and immersion rarely seen in other games. I found myself constantly awestruck by the beautiful landscapes, diverse wildlife, and intricately designed structures scattered throughout Hyrule. Combat in this game is a thrilling experience. The game provides you with a wide range of weapons and abilities, allowing for creative and strategic approaches to battles. Whether it's engaging in intense sword fights, utilizing the environment to your advantage, or experimenting with the game's physics-based mechanics, each encounter feels exhilarating and rewarding. The puzzles and shrines that populate the land are brilliantly designed, offering a satisfying blend of challenge and ingenuity. These brain teasers require you to think outside the box, often rewarding you with valuable loot or new abilities upon completion. The sense of accomplishment that accompanies solving these puzzles is incredibly gratifying, making you feel like a true hero of legend. The narrative is both captivating and emotionally resonant. Unveiling the story bit by bit as you explore the vast world and encounter memorable characters adds depth and intrigue to the overall experience. The game masterfully weaves together a tale of hope, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of adventure that is synonymous with the Legend of Zelda series. Lastly, I must commend the game's art direction and soundtrack. The cel-shaded visuals are a true visual feast, giving the game a distinct and timeless aesthetic. The music perfectly complements the grandeur and intimacy of your journey, evoking a wide range of emotions that will stay with you long after you put down the controller. This game is an absolute triumph and a must-play for any gaming enthusiast. Its vast open world, freedom of exploration, meticulous attention to detail, engaging combat, challenging puzzles, and compelling narrative combine to create an unforgettable experience. Nintendo has once again shown their mastery in crafting a game that transcends boundaries and sets a new benchmark for excellence in the gaming industry. Prepare to embark on an epic adventure that will leave you breathless.
