I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend who loves Zelda. While I am not much of a gamer myself, I do love watching him play. This new game is definitely worth it - the puzzles and adventure parts are awesome, the graphics are great and the story is cool. We're really looking forward to getting through the game!! Oh and he loves the game too lol!

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom captivated me from start to finish. As a longtime fan of the franchise, I can confidently say that this latest installment is nothing short of breathtaking. The world-building is immersive, drawing players into a rich tapestry of lore and legend. From the sprawling landscapes to the intricate dungeons, every corner of Hyrule feels meticulously crafted and ripe for exploration. The puzzles are cleverly designed, offering just the right balance of challenge and satisfaction. And of course, the story is gripping, weaving together themes of courage, destiny, and friendship in a way that only Zelda can. With its masterful gameplay, stunning visuals, and unforgettable soundtrack, Tears of the Kingdom is an absolute masterpiece that left me longing for more.

Fun game, EXTREMELY detailed and engaging!! Not an easy-to-beat-in-a-week!

After finishing 'Breath of the Wild' I was completely blown away by the scope and sheer excellence of Nintendo's masterpiece, but couldn't help but wonder how they would follow up a game widely considered one of the best games ever made, regardless of platform. Then 'Tears of the Kingdom' was announced and I was simultaneously thrilled, optimistic, and cautious. What could Nintendo do, how would they create, something that could in any way compare to 'Breath of the Wild'? Well...they did something that most game developers only dream of and followed up with yet ANOTHER masterpiece, a perfect example of video-game-as-art. I am probably 1/2 way done (a conservative estimate) and will be playing for months, and talking about for years. I could go on and on about how great 'Tears of joy the Kingdom' is, how it exceeds the greatness of its predecessor...but the most important thing I could tell anyone is to play it. It. Is. STAGGERING in it's scope and breadth. Arguably the one game I would recommend above any other. To say I 'highly recommend it' is a gross understatement. This is greatness in execution and a masterclass in game development and art. Unbelievable.

I wandered through skies where dreams take flight, in lands where magic breathes and silence speaks. Though not a gamer, this world called to me—its beauty, its mystery, its boundless freedom. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is more than a game; it’s a journey of wonder, waiting to be lived.

TOTK has kept the landscape geography and basic story elements from BOTW, but changed most other things. Weapons still break but you find many more replacements and you can enhance them. You get new skill abilities early in the game and they figure significantly in gameplay from then on. TOTK has 3 topographical areas (sky, land, and underground) to explore which almost triples the size over BOTW. There are many new puzzle and challenge types to solve using the new tools and abilities. You imagination is tested much more in TOTK. The only negative to report is that if you quickly jump to and through selection menus, the game occasionally hangs up. It is easy to free up without losing your progress, but can be annoying. That is why the score is 4 instead of 5.

Another excellent addition to the franchise. Took me a minute to figure out the gameplay. Nintendo's still got it.

I am a life long Zelda fan. BOTW was a fantastic game, and a unique entry into the series. TOTK builds upon BOTW and adds more interesting content, exploration, enemies, and game mechanics. I have played for 200 hours so far and there is some much that I haven't explored yet. TOTK is a must play for any fan of the series or genre.

Best game I’ve played in a long time!! I’ve never really played a Zelda game, and this was very enjoyable. Engaging story, completely open world with so much to do, easy to learn mechanics, this game really does not disappoint.

Breath of the wild was one of the few games I would replay multiple times. Tears of the Kingdom already has me stuck to the screen playing and forgetting the time. It will surely be just a replayable. I have been playing since it has come out, 2-4 hours a day, and still haven't even gotten to the first dungeon. There is so much to do!

This game exceeded my already high expectations. It's an improvement of Breath of the Wild in every possible way. The story is fantastic, the world is massive, and every little thing you do is always fun. I finished with 200 hours of total playtime and there wasn't a single moment of those 200 hours that I wasn't having a blast!

Easily one of the best games on Switch. It's notably better than 2017's Breath of the Wild and a must own. Performance is good, graphics are good, tons of content, gameplay is solid, and the new mechanics are mind blowingly stable without the tons of bugs you may expect from such a complicated system. This one is hard to top.

As a follow up to Breath of the Wild this game is a great testament to the Switch’s potential. Great graphics, challenging enemies, and lots to explore. I plugged about 100 hours into it easily just exploring before finishing the main quest. Definitely worth it for the die hard fans!

One of the best in the entire franchise. Personally was not a fan of breath of the wild. Story wise it was amazing, but I felt that game mechanics could have been better. Tears of the kingdom managed to fix everything I was frustrated about with BOTW without sacrificing the story at all. It really is an impressive game.

10 million copies sold in 3 days for a reason. If you liked BotW, then this is just as good. Some may say that this is $70 DLC and while I see their point, I disagree. There's enough new stuff and a whole new story to explore. It even gives you tips the first game gave in case you haven't played it. Loving it and the series.
