Better than the first
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a vast improvement from the first with many more sidequests, missions, collectables, and a slightly better story building/telling. The game does however get a little overwhelming with the number of things to do and the semi repetitiveness of many of the missions and unlocking of the shrines. It also plays much like a dark souls game of "get gud" if you aren't familiar with the combat system since it sets you off to learn in a "do or die" fashion. It's definite a game for a Zelda fan, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who isn't one.

If you need hours of entertainment look no further
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing game. The physics are fun to play with and of course the storyline was amazing. Not a very challenging game physically but mentally you got to work a bit... You can also find new ways to solve shrines. This is hours and hours of entertainment if you like exploring, solving puzzles and have good reflexes. I would highly recommend playing BOTW first but not necessary

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is mind blowing in so many ways. With a greater concentration on story from the previous game, new areas to explore, and of course limitless ways to achieve your objective, Tears of the Kingdom will have you immersed like few games.

Better than BOTW
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game had alot going for it. The big open world with multiple depths. The story seemed a bit more connected than botw but you have the same fun exploring. The creativity yoi can have on this game is insane

Hours
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game! I've been playing it since getting it and I'm already 20+ hours in but there's others that has more than that! 20+ hours and I am no where near the middle or ending of the game. You won't be putting this game down. If you're a Zelda fan, this is the game you don't want to missed out on. It will take you a lot of hours like you did with BOTW.

One of the best games I've ever played
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was shocked and delighted to discover that the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild I've been waiting for turned out so well. It takes everything that works in the original and improves it, and it takes everything that didn't and fix it. The story, while still not stellar, is also an improvement from BotW's, and the new powers gained from Link's new arm recontextualize many of the challenges. No longer can Link use bombs as much as he wishes, instead he needs to use a limited stock of bomb flowers. He can't cross lakes using pillars of ice, so now he must build boats using Ultrahand. He can climb through many solid surfaces with his Arise ability. The world of Hyrule feels so alive in this game, and the four years of wait have been more than worth it.

A great sequel
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A fantastic game that's well worth $70 in terms of value. There are so many fun and creative things to do all over Hyrule. Totk improves on nearly every aspect of botw. The combat, exploration, and story are all really great.

One of my top games of all time
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tears of the Kingdom expands and improves upon Breath of the Wild in nearly every way. I did not think a game could pull me in more than Breath of the Wild did but Tears of the Kingdom did almost immediately (once I got through what amounts to the tutorial area I was hooked). The freedom to find your own solutions and decide what to focus on that was in Breath of Wild has been increased in Tears of the Kingdom. Hearing that the same map was being used was concerning to me but the additions they have made are amazing and add a ton of content. I have found myself playing for hours on end just exploring every corner of small areas of the map, coming up with different machines to build, and always coming away being amazed at how well designed this game is.

Game of the year, possibly best game of all time
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ToTK is an unbelievable game. Full stop. It improves on what Breath of the Wild did in almost every way, and BOTW was my favorite game of all time, until I played this one. The limitless creativity and freedom that you have to do whatever you want is unmatched in gaming history. Other developers will be looking at what Nintendo did here and trying to emulate it in some way. There is so much to do in this world. It’s massive. Take the world of BOTW which was already huge in my opinion and multiply it by 3. If you take the time and do everything this game has to offer, I guarantee you’ll get at least 200 hours of pure gaming ecstasy out of this game. This one of the handful of games that I could say justifies that $69 price tag. It’s absolutely worth it.

Makes Breath of the Wild feel like a tech demo
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tears of the Kingdom makes Botw feel like a tech demo, which is saying a lot as Botw was an amazing game with tons of hours of things to do. They added so much content to Totk while also making a lot of quality of life improvements. The story is very much improved over Botw as well. Even the dungeons have received a large improvement over the previous entry. The only complaint I have is the switch obviously is having a hard time with this game as it does have some framerate issues here and there, but still runs leagues better than Pokemon Scarlet and Violet while even looking much better. But really the performance issues are not going to hinder the enjoyment you are going to get out of this game at all. Overall, if you liked Botw, I fully recommend this game.

More then i expected!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Zelda: TotK is a HUGE game. Nearly if not double the size of Breath of the Wild! More to do and more that you yourself can do! From building your own travel machines to weaponized turrets and .... roomba's (!?!?!?!) with flame throwers, lazers, bombs, and cannons! Pretty much if you liked any of the previous Zelda games you will love this one! Are you a fan of open world free roam games? You will like this! Though to be frank this game IS harder then BotW (previous game) so it may be a little difficult for smaller children to grasp (less then 10 or so) but to everyone else I say if you have a Switch and fall into any of those catagories its a 100% buy now! TLDR: If you like any older zelda games, free roam, or open world games but it... you wont regret it!

Best game of 2023 hands down.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is a great follow-up to Breath of the Wild. This game takes all of the concepts started in that game and adds a ton of creation tools to the mix. On top of that there are now locations to explore both above and below ground with an entire "dark" world below the current map. And while I can wholeheartedly recommend playing Breath of the Wild, no real backstory is needed to just play this game. There is so much to do in this game that you can do virtually anything and never be doing the wrong thing. There are also things called "Dragon Tears" that add story content to the game. I would recommend finding all of these before beating the game as there are two endings with the true ending when you find them all.

A true adventure game
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This by far the best Zelda game I’ve ever played and is filled with content, the developers did not hold back when adding new fusing capabilities such as taking object like rocks or monster parts and fusing them to weapons to give them more damage . There now also three maps instead of 1 the sky map the ground map and depth map which is underground map that spans the entire area that the ground map does, I’ve played for dozens of hours and I still haven’t completely covered all three maps. There’s also new and more powerful enemies like the gleook And More powerful lynels, and plenty of new weapons to go along with them.

Legend of Zelda TOTK
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and it’s been a really fun experience. The game takes what was great about Breath of the Wild and adds a ton of cool new stuff. The map is huge, and I love how there are new areas to explore, especially in the sky and underground. The new abilities, like Ultrahand and Fuse, are awesome. They let you build things and combine items in ways that feel super creative. It’s fun to experiment and see what works, whether it’s making a crazy vehicle or a unique weapon. The story is interesting and has some really cool moments, and the characters are fun to interact with. The puzzles and challenges keep things exciting without being too frustrating. Even though it’s on the Switch, the game looks great, and the music adds a lot to the atmosphere. Overall, it’s just a great game to dive into and explore at your own pace. If you liked Breath of the Wild, you’ll probably enjoy this one too!
