When I bought "The Lonesome Crowded West", I really did not know what to expect. I had just purchased "We Were Dead Before..." some months before hand, and I was curious to know how Modest Mouse came to be such a great band. What I did not expect was this album to be better than all of their others, and to place in my top ten favorite albums, ever. From the powerful lyrics, to the guitars that actually make you feel "lonesome" (by far my most favorite aspect of the album), you will not be let down. Buy this album, let it play a couple of times, and you will grow to appreciate the true artwork in music that certainly is lacking in this day and age. If you love indie music, or music in general, you will not regret this purchase. This is the album that made me fall in love with this band. Every single song on here is filthy, from begining to end. Isaac Brock's lyrics are spine-tingling, as are the guitar riffs and drums. I can't say enough good things, so im just gonna stop and let the music do the talking.
