It's so hard to find the original 3 movies that AREN'T the 7 hour extended directors cuts with bonus test footage of Elijah Wood as Sauron. This is exactly what I was looking for.

If you have never seen the Lord of the Rings this is a must have. All three movies in their theatrical release in one album for a good price. You won't regret having purchased this.

Love that this came in a box set for a reasonable price. I plan to get ride of the individual dvds I purchased as they came out. Going forward, I think I will wait to buy the entire set.

I have had the DVD versions of The Lord of the Rings for years and I had always wanted to get the Blu-rays, finally got them at a good price so I decided to buy them.

My kids favorite had to buy for home library. Book is better, however even movie has elements author intended to convey. Author was a Christian man and tried to create new folklore for his nation that had parallel story line to Gospel of his King, The Lord Jesus. Tolkien succeed for the most part.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy will always be a favorite of mine. This 3 disc collection was a great value and using a $5 rewards certificate made it even better.

No fancy packaging but works just fine! There are no brochures, pamphlets, etc. All 3 discs were in the same pack with a divider. Good way to get into Blue Ray!

Bought these for my wife. We have them on dvds but needed to get them on bluray. Great trilogy.

Excellent price for three movies on blue ray. Buy it if you can. I hope the hobbit series comes out for with the same deal.

Yes this is the theatrical release. Do I want to watch 45 more minutes in an already excellent 3 hour movie? Besides the trilogy on Bluray for $10. Great bargain.

If you are like me, you love some of the great old films. Lord of the Rings is a great series and looks even better on Blu-ray. A must-have for any collector.

This is a great trilogy. I just watched them for the first time and was thinking how come I didn't watch these years ago? If you like these movies you also need to get The Hobbit.

I have seen these movies many times and had to have them on Blu-ray. They can be a bit lengthy at times, but are a very good watch.

I already have all of these movies, but I appreciate them being combined in this set, in order to conserve space on my dvd shelves.

The Lord of the Rings is one of my favorite collection of movies. I had two of them on VHS. This a great way to have them all in a space saving format.
