Not exactly what I was expecting...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is not exactly what I was expecting. I was expecting something like shadows of war or shadows of mordor. This game is completely different. Instead of feeling fun and flawless this game feels devoid of any fun. Too many times I died because the game feels broken or unfinished. While there is a certain appeal to making a game feel difficult (elden ring, dark souls etc.) what this game does is just leave you feeling like why even bother. The story is so so and feels like something I'd read in a fanfiction. The gameplay elements most of the time are atrocious, too many deaths trying to do the simplest of things such as swinging from a pole to a ledge or just jumping from ledge to ledge. In the beginning the game feels like it could have potential but the more you keep playing and then you realize what you're playing is actually a poor attempt at vintage platforming. I can imagine only the hardest of the hardcore lord of the rings fans might play this and even if they don't it at least has some value for collectors. Just my opinion save your money and pick up a copy of Crash Bandicoot 4 instead.

Should’ve been cheaper
||Posted . Two seems fair at this point. The graphic leave much to be desired, and the story is underwhelming. Gollum is a great character, but maybe not as the main focus of a video game. It’s not unplayable, but I think $60 was a little too much for this.

A Sad Failed Release For A Potentialy Good Game.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sadly For a highly anticipated game it let down many gamers ad fans of the Tolkien mythos. The graphics were atrocious at best as was the glitched audio and framerate. The controls were beyond atrocious where in a game that relies heavily on platforming this game was beyond abysmal with it's freeze ups during jumps, its wall phasing glitches and the seemingly 5fps. The story was mediocre at best and with no real suspense for obvious reasons as we all know the ultimate fate of Gollum. Thankfully I didn't pay the $70 for the game other wise I'd be beyond furious. Sadly it was a game that had potential but because of the lack of talent and apparently the push to release the game in 2023 all gamers got was a garbage fantasy game that had only one character tied to a beloved iconic fantasy tale that ultimately let down both the gamers and fans
