I held off on this title for a long time after hearing how short the title was. I was finally able to snag this for a couple of dollars and I feel like I got my money's worth. There is actually a very interesting political story intertwined with some paranormal events. Unfortunately with the low sales this game had, it seems like we may never see the sequel that I feel would have really gotten this franchise off the ground. If you have a free weekend to kill some time, definitely look for this one on the cheap.

A lot of people were saying bad things about this game. "It's too short, it's basically a movie" etc. I personally thought that this was a great game. The storytelling was top notch, and the gameplay was enjoyable. The characters were interesting and I found myself (and surprisingly my wife) wrapped up in the story. Overall I would say it took me 8 to 10 hours to complete the story. I spent another two hours or so gathering achievements in the chapter select menu. Well worth the now heavily discounted price.

Let's get a few things STRAIGHT from the beginning... YES! The Order:1886 is a short length (by Today's gaming standards...) title developed by Ready At Dawn, makers of PSP's God of War Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta. YES! There's No multiplayer modes (Not a big fan of multiplayer anyway) and, YES! There's very limited replay ability. However, as I have been following this title SINCE initial reveal, I ALSO KNOW that the development team did not promise the aforementioned above and failed to deliver. The PROMISE was a Cinematic Story-driven game set in a rich, atmospheric, Steam punk, Alternative London. And centering the plot around werewolves, adds a breath of intrigue. In a world where games come to retail, requiring Day One patches, or just plain ole UNPLAYABLE, it brings me comfort to have popped the game in my PS4, go thru the standard install, and just GAME. Overall, if you been eyeing this title. And can enter into the game with NO EXPECTATIONS except to enjoy an ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS title with Superb Voice Acting, Audio immersion, Hauntingly beautiful lighting, finely detailed character models and environments, and OUTSTANDING gunplay (it DO NOT have to Innovate, just finely tune it and surround it with other great factors), go and get The Order:1886 like I did. Nothing and no one stopped me from getting the game, and NOTHING is stopping me from Enjoying it! Oh, and being a Best Buy Gamers' Club member, gave me an AWESOME-SAUCE discount on the title. So WELL WORTH the pick up! #TheyHateUsCauseTheyAintUs #GreatJobReadyatDawn

Felt extremely engrossed into the game thanks to the graphics. Just wish the gameplay was more evolved and the campaign was longer.

Excellent Graphics, but I did skip most of the movies. Decent Action, if you can get it for less than $30 or $20 it is worth it.

This game is a very beautiful game, you will impress alot of people with its graphics, and thats about it. Theres nothing about this game that makes me want to finish, I have been forcing myself to finish so I can sell it. The gameplay and story are boring and un-engaging.

This game is visually impressive, and I can't wait for the next iteration. The other reviews are spot on, the game is very linear and slow. The story just starts to take off when the game suddenly ends. It's a promising first installment, and perfect at the 19.99 price point. If you can get it this cheap or cheaper, it's a good filler game.

The $16 price point is exactly where this game needs to be. It plays like a movie, has wonderful graphics, but is very short.

I've only finished the first chapter but the graphics in this game are absolutely astonishing. The gameplay is just like gears with a snap to cover and vault system but the environment is loads more interactable. The plot seems intriguing and the characters voice overs are done very well.

This game is gorgeous. Unfortunately its a short game consisting of a few Gears of War combat sections and a decent amount of quick time events. It was nice to see the power of the PS4, just wish this title had more to offer. I recommend this to people that are looking for platinum trophies if they can find it cheap ($10 or under)

By far the BEST graphics you will see in a video game. Unfortunately it stops there. Half the game is cut scenes which you can not skip. And consider the game is 5-6 hours that's pretty lame. Also, any time you are in a gun fight it's exactly the same. You crouch behind a box and shoot enemies that hardly move. Not good for $60.

Graphically, this is an awesome game. Great way to show off your PS4 capabilties to friends. Unfortunately, it is a very linear shooter with ZERO weapon customization or Multiplayer. Played through the story twice very quickly and probably won't touch it again. Would be 5 stars if it was longer or had any replay value.

Besides a short main story, very little re-play value, and a lack of diverse enemies, this game is fantastic! Visually it is one of, if not, the most appealing game I have ever seen. I mean every little detail seems to have been painstakingly rendered for our enjoyment (lighting, foregrounds and backgrounds, everything . But alone, that's not enough as most games are powered up with great visuals nowadays. It's the status quo and what we expect as gamers. What makes this a great game is a few things. First, it's a 3rd person shooter. Most shooters are now 1st person and personally I can't stand that view. I want to see my character. This game reminds me of Gears of War and I know I can't be the only one with a little Gears nostalgia. Besides just the view, I think it being a third person shooter allows for better movement control because you can see the direction your character is facing. Second, its got a pretty good selection of weapons and they are very strategically placed for exactly when you need them. I find myself to be more of a sniper when I have a chance but I can really appreciate the close quarters weaponry here. Lastly, it has a great pace to it's story telling and it is seemless in its transition from cinematic scenes to playable ones. It's not a long game (maybe 6-12 hours depending on skill level) but it does a masterful job of telling a story that by making you pay attention so you can hit the right button at the right time, wraps you up in whatever is going on around you. Leading to an increased feeling of involvement in the game. Overall a great game that doesn't deserve the low ratings it gets. But unless it's your favorite game of all time, trade it in now so you can get as much value for it as possible. It's a short game and it won't be long until max value expires on this one.
