The Story in the game was very intriguing. It held my attention for the 5 or 6 hours it took me to beat the game. However once I beat the game, there was no replay value, no multiplayer and no compelling reason to beat the game again. I would only get this game if you find it on sale like I did.

To start I will say I really really hate the fact that this game was based purely on its playtime. If there is one aspect of any game that should NOT be a bar for how "good" it is, it's playtime. You can have an RPG lasting 100+ that is complete cr@p and a beautiful masterpiece that lasts only a few. Although I will say The Order 1886 isn't a grand, epic, magical game, it is a great game and by far the best example of what Next-Gen gaming consoles are capable of in terms of graphical capabilities alone. The story is an interesting mix of 19th century, almost-world-at-war Britain and futuristic weaponry mixed in with some lore from around that time (Jack the Ripper). Quick breakdown: +Graphics: Hands down the best part of the game. Most realistic models you'll see on a console for a long time. +Gameplay: Fun shooting. Nothing groundbreaking, but nothing gamebreaking either. Nice mix of traditional guns with cool secondary fire perks. +Music: Great grand pieces and classical music in general. Voice acting is perfect and game sounds are well done. +Playtime...who cares. I didn't. Enjoyed every part of my playthrough. HUGE +++++ for me personally... NO DLC!!! Thank you! Great game, enjoyed it a lot.

I wish this game could be little longer to beat because at the and, I wanted to play more and I discovered more game play at the and than at the beginning of the game , that's why people complain too much , and I agree , it took me like 8 hours to beat , maybe little more just to look for collectibles for trophys. Maybe a second time of play and without collectibles can be beat around 5 hours.

The game looks pretty, but is ultimately around 6-8 hours with no replay value. Story starts off strong but by the end kind of falls apart. There's actually very little game play, but the times the game lets you into combat, it's a solid cover shooter.

Game is visually stunning yet a quick game with medium replayability. It helps to purchase the multitude of downloadable content to maximize replaying of game. For the order being a video game it looks more like a movie rather than a video game.

This game is a huge let down for me they pushed the release date back several times making me anxious to get it just to have mediocre gameplay the only good thing about this game are the graphics

This game has a magnificent story that is worth to play good graphics but the best is the story and it is very fun to play.

I pre ordered this game back in December and thought the game looked unique and amazing. The game came out and while I was waiting for my game in the mail, I read the reviews. They were awful, almost all of them. This really ruined the experience once I played the game. Once I got further through the campaign it got better and better. The reviews complain about the game not being long enough and not enough gameplay. Throughout the entire game there is a black cinematic bar at the top and bottom of the screen. This can be annoying to some, forgotten by others. Once I truly got into the game I really didn't notice it too much. The game is a tad short, not by much though. Also the gameplay is fantastic. Many cutscenes which makes this game very story driven. It was a good change and hopefully they make another one to fix their mistakes and continue the story. Overall great game. 8/10

I love the steampunk world they devs created but the time spent in it could be better. Picking up items to examine is cool but never really gave any clear info or added depth. Gorgeous looking and fun for a wekkend.

Don't listen to any review on gaming sites or people who rate it without playing this game is simply amazing movie like gameplay amazing setting and best graphics to date

I knew before buying this game it was getting negative reviews. (read Forbes games) The graphics are impressive but a lot of theater movie scenes. Once I started playing I was impressed with the graphics. I am having difficulty staying focus on the story line it is missing something can’t quite put my finger on it but kind of boring story. But the graphics keep my attention. I debated about waiting for 3 months to get this game after reviews and wait for price to go to 39.99. I didn’t and I regret that.

I purchased this when it was on sale. The story seems ok so far but the character controls remind me of the Resident Evil games. It's a very playable game and I feel it is worth the sale price.

This game is not worth 60$ its not worth 30$ If your looking to get an easy platinum then this is the game for you 1/3 of the chapters you actually do something the other 2/3 is dialogue and or walking from point a to point b. However it is one of the most graphically amazing games its to bad they scarified good graphics for average game play.

Game is basically like playing though a movie, which is a plus or minus depending on what you're looking for. I enjoyed it. Game was kind of short though.

I will keep it short. First off it take about 6-7 hour to beat. It's not worth full price for a short game. Most of the game I would say 60% is cut-sceens or real time events. Graphics are great but who cares when you feel like you're not even in control of the boring story-line. No multi-player so there is not replay value you at all. If you manage to stay awake during game play don't bother to reply this game because it has no I repeat no reply value. Finally the game is just boring I mean boring enough that I just wanted to get it over with like a slow movie. Not my type of game. Started off promising but then feel short after 10 mins with to many real time events. You can not control over the boring story line. Meh... P.S. if you like action packed gaming this one is not for you. I've been waiting years for this game and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Just Boring.

I was looking forward to this game when it was first teased a few years ago.. I am highly disappointed. This 'game' if you want to call it that, is almost like a movie - You spend more time walking and listening to dialouge than anything else. I wouldn't purchase this game until it goes down to the 20 dollar range, and even then, I think I would spend my money on something else.

The Order 1886 has hands down the best graphics for the ps4! I've only just started playing but the gameplay and story is captivating so far as well.

I am giving 3 stars based on full retail. I paid $26 and traded it for $19, so I am very happy; but that's about what the gameplay was worth $7. It was quick, with a slightly hard to follow story line. I really had high hopes a year ago when I heard about it, but the reviews are all true. No online, short story, not worth much other than a rental if you have 2 full days to play.
