This is a CD I would listen to on a Sunday morning. I use that time to be calm, reflective and quiet. Certain CD's are my favorites in this catergory. This is why I was excited to get this one in the mail a few weeks ago. After listening to it, I have decided it will stay in my Sunday morning rotation, but wont get as much play as others. Some of the songs are a bit too slow for my liking. If the CD was more like track #7 "Angelina" it would find its way into my kitchen player more often.

I melt each time I hear Amazing Grace. It is my favorite version. These men have so much talent. I know my mom will love this CD as a Christmas gift.

I've been an admirer of Il Divo for quite some time, but this is the first album of theirs that I've owned. I am very happy with the beautiful vocals and intriguing song selection. I love their version of The Winner Takes It All, and Amazing Grace is marvelous also. This CD is both uplifting and soothing. Well Done! I think Santa needs to bring me some more Il Divo!!

After listening to "The Promise" my first experience hearing IL Divo...I became instantly hooked. Their voices are rich and powerful and the song choices stir one's very soul. I was longing to hear more from these phenomenal artists after reviewing this spectacular CD. I Highly recommend, would make a wonderful holiday gift for that special someone!

I love thier voices. So soothing and mellow it makes a days stress just melt away.It could use more english tracks though.

I had been so curious about this group of men. I saw them on Opera a cpl. of times. I got this album not knowing that only 2 of the songs were in English, and I was kind of disappointed at first, but after I put it in and began listening, I was blown away. When I listen to the amazing voices, I am swept away and I cannot turn it up loud enough.

I was a bit surprised when first listening to this CD. I was unaware that it would be mostly in other languages. This made it hard for me to really get into the music. It would be great to relax to or to use for background music. It would not be a good choice when driving around town or cleaning the house. It was not very uplifting in my opinion. They have great talent...just not my cup of tea.

This is the best new CD! I am going to pick up a few for holiday gifts. This would be great for anyone who loves music.

I don't own any other Il Divo CDs beside this one but I have heard them sing, several times, on television and was mesmerized by them. Unfortunately, this CD was not up to par. The voices are lovely and, technically, very good but I wasn't left in awe the way I was expecting. The music is very soothing but I wanted to feel MOVED not SOOTHED and that didn't happen. I hope for better next time.

I found the CD to be relaxing and enjoyable to listen to everyday. The mix of music and lyrics was a good combination

I've heard some Il Divo music through their careers, and it is very beautiful music. There is beautifl music on here as well, especially Amazing Grace. I was a little disappointed that all of the songs were in Spanish other than that one, and it isn't as good as it has been reviewed in my opinion. However, it is beautiful, relaxing music that makes me feel good when I listen to it.

Even though most of the songs are not in English, the voices and the music tell a story and make this one of the more enjoyable CDs I have heard recently. If you are an Il Divo fan, this CD does not disappoint. As I was listening to it, I could think of several people on my Christmas list who would love to receive this as a gift.

I absolutely love IL DIVO and their new cd "The Promise" has made me even a bigger fan.Even though only 1 song "Amazing Grace" (my fav song on the cd) is in english i still love the beautiful vocals that IL DIVO offers up once again.The Promise is well worth a listen and i would certainly recommend this cd to everyone.

The songs are beautifully sung, but Amazing Grace will just blow you away. This is an instant classic.

I was just hoping for more from this Simon Cowell group. They are great, but this album does not make me want to sit through one of their concerts. I really think the next album they need to spice it up a bit. Maybe try a pop song, but put their own twist to it. They definetely need a new creative art director for the album cover. The cover is just not alive.

I could have this as background music (white noise) but don't feel it is something I will be riding around in the car listening to over and over. The music is nice, but do pop songs need to be changed into Spanish Opera? I would have preferred more original pieces from them. Their voices are beautiful and I believe they would do better with better material.

I can not tell you enough about this album so listen for yourself! If you don't you will truly be missing out on one of the most beautiful cd's you have ever heard. Classic inspirational songs like Amazing Grace soothe your tired weary soul. Enjoy with your loved ones especially around the holidays!

This group delivers a twist on opera. 10 tracks are in Spanish but you will recognize some tunes! Amazing Grace is one of my favorites anyway and these boys do it justice. This is the perfect CD to listen to when you need something soothing and easy to listen to. You can't go wrong with this one!

I was given the opportunity to listen to this CD through One2One Network. I found it to have great emotion invoking music. I like to listen to it when I need to relax. You can feel the emotion in the voices. Even though I don't speak the language you can understand the music.

After having Il Divo's Christmas CD, I was excited to get The Promise! It is a beautiful, soothing CD and puts my son to sleep in the car. (which is a very good thing!) I was disappointed that the whole thing (except the last song) is not in English. It is still a beautiful CD that I will enjoy listening to.
