On first listen, I was disappointed. I was not expecting what I heard. Call it experimental or just different. I'm still not enjoying the mix. The album sometimes sounds very demo-ish. With elements of prog and Bowie this album has grown on me though. I'm slowly understanding the bands intent. To stretch themselves as musicians. By not over reaching this band is exploring new territory. They might lose fans but gain new ones. This album is worth 10 listenings. It might take that many to appreciate this new sound.

Coming out of nowhere, zero hype....amazing work! Metal, hard rock and even progressive leaning, the band is evolving on this concept album. Excellent listening esperience!

It's another Avenged Sevenfold album that delivers what fans want from this band. Eleven songs of musical power, with the album closing with an epic 15 minute blast.

I don't think any album will ever top Nightmare for me. I like this album well enough though. Different sound from Hail. I like Hail about as well as The Stage.

Avenged Sevenfold is back at it again making full use of their instrumental talent while covering deep and complex themes. Exist is the perfect cap on this album giving an incredible interpretation of the Big Bang Theory.

The presentation and depth of this album reinforce my love for the music that Avenged produces. The release of this album paired with the live streamed performance from the top of the capitol records building was awesome.

I haven't enjoyed the last two releases from Avenged as I did their earlier work. Still overall a sold release and worth checking out for fans of their music.

If you are a fan of a7x then you will love their new cd. The band continues to grow and try new things, but at its core it's the same. Great guitar players. Love the new drummer and shadows still has a killer voice.

It has some good songs. Haven't given them all a few good listens. Has some songs that I don't care for the sound but I'm sure most A7X fans will enjoy it.

I don't know if these guys will ever make another album as amazing as their first two but this album is absolutely solid and a must add to the collection!

I bought this item as an in store pickup at my local best buy. Very happy with the easy experience and love the cd. It's a little bit of a different sound from what I'm used to from Avenged, but I really like it!

Surprise drop, surprise trip to best buy. Very different sounding album, got some Rev feel for sure. New drummer Brooks absolutely nails it. Maybe only one song I'm not into. Great album, instant classics on here.

A great album from Avenged Sevenfold. At first it sounds a bit odd, but I've grown to love it. Higher and Exist are my 2 favorite songs off this album.

This band is in top shape on this album! New Drummer Brooks was definitely a smart choice! He fits the band perfectly and is extremely creative. Love this album! If you're a fan of A7X you won't be disappointed!

I've been a huge fan for many years, and The Stage is easily one of their best albums to date. Just give it a couple listens through and absorb it and you'll find amazing work you've come to expect from Avenged.

Awesome that it was the first surprise Rock release. Great album, continues a nice sequence of releases from the band. Every time I listen, hearing something new. I'll be going back to this album for many years.

One of the best new metal CD's I have purchased in a long time. I also like how this one was released as a surprise with the announcement coming just the day before it was released. Many good times on this disc!

This starts getting towards the old avenged sevenfold. Still needs and a bit more hard core lyrics like the first two albums but it's getting there.

The Stage is a very good CD from A7X. The title track is incredible and in my opinion the best song. Also lots more great songs! It won't disappoint!

The Stage is a good follow up to Hail To The King. Though it seems like the record was rushed release, the songs are really good. If you are an Avenged Sevenfold fan, this record will NOT disappoint.
