Long awaited The Veronicas album is worth the wait
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ever since I first heard ‘Untouched’ played on the radio here in the US I have been addicted to The Veronicas- and have long awaited their next album. I was a little disappointed that the album didn’t have an edited version released. (With at least 5 songs including f bombs it won’t be an album for everyone.) I loved about half the songs on first listen, fewer songs than with their first two albums. But the songs that I have fallen in love with immediately are beautifully magical. ( If you heard them debut the songs “Cold” and “Let Me Out” at The Viper Room, and were dying for a full release of the songs, you’ll be thrilled. ) Their single “You Ruin Me” is breathtaking, one of the three that you need to listen to, “Cold” and “Let Me Out” being the other two. “Cruel”, “Born Bob Dylan”, “More Like Me”, and “Sanctified” make the list of the ones I’ve found myself listening to regularly as well. “Did You Miss Me (I’m A Veronica)” is the only song I find myself constantly skipping. The album cover is beautiful, and the back is unique and stunning- as the style of The Veronicas. The booklet contains full lyrics, which are fairly easy to read. Not my favorite Veronicas release- but well worth the wait!
