Jenny Lewis is writing songs more like Rilo Kiley's Under The Blacklight than her country/folk influenced first two solo albums and still writing about relationship problems. If these are autobiographical, I hope she finds someone who isn't a drugged out jerk.

Not Jenny's best work ever but it is a solid album. I still enjoy her Rilo Kiely stuff best.

Ive been a long time Jenny Lewis fan since the Rilo Kiley Era. Ive noticed an evolution to her sound and as a musician its a logical step. Lewis is going for the genre that Best Coast encompasses and it would it is indicative of this album as well as the previous album, Jenny and Johnny. But the earnest lyrics that Jenny writes is hard to swallow under a produced sound. Granted Beck and Ryan Adams are great producers but it just feels like there are no standout hits other than track one. If your a diehard fan, get it, you wont be dissapointed. To those new to Jenny Lewis, look up Rabbit fur coat and Acid Tongue first.

A Recommendation From HAIM's Twitter Page.

I am a fan of HAIM and I regularly read them on their Twitter page. I enjoy listen to music they recommend, and one artist they strongly endorse is Jenny Lewis. Voyager is "urban country", meaning that it has the stories of the former, and the sounds of the latter. The lyrics deal with romance gone wrong and how the singer rebounds from those bad experiences. The music in addition to a country rhythm, have an R&B feel as well. Like the best albums of Pink Floyd, this is a theme album.

I find this much more accessible than her earlier work. This could get Jenny played on a lot more stations than she currently does. A little bit more production might have made this even better, but I know I'll play it a lot.

I'm a huge Rilo Kiley fan, but I've found Jenny Lewis' solo albums to be somewhat lackluster. This is easily her best solo album to date. It's more rock-oriented and more Rilo Kiley-esque.

Been a while since J Lewis released a solo effort. This new one is a good one. Another quality album for sale at a low price from Best Buy.

Her earlier releases always felt tentative, but Voyager is assured. Like the work that Ryan Adams and Beck Hanson contributed.

Jenny Lewis returns to her solo roots with one of her best albums. After a few with the Watson Twins and her work in Jenny and Johnny, she returns with one of the catchiest albums of the year!
