Fantastic world, characters, gameplay, graphics, and exploration. If you even remotely like open world games then this should be a must buy.

This game is simply awesome. The only problem I have had with this game is that I have purchased several other games since getting this one and I am still playing it. Those other games just sit there on the shelf looking at me with their little puppy dog eyes while they all talk trash behind the Witcher's back. Other games do not like The Witcher. CAUTION: You will neglect your other games and quite possibly family and friends if you buy this game.

Sorta lives up to the hype

We were promised that this game would be the best thing since sliced bread. Largest game ever, longest game if you do all the sidequests, ect... Is it a good game? Yes. Best game ever? No. Once you start to play, you'll notice the controls are a little "floaty." You can't run and grab things like in Skyrim and other games. If you want to pick up loot, you will have to really be near it. The action is also much better in the Dark Souls/Bloodborne games. And if you venture off too far in the map, you'll get a warning and be returned elsewhere on the map. The graphics are great, but The Order still has the best graphics on the PS4. Don't believe the hype, but it's still a good game.

Not what I had expected. As a fan of RPGs I was looking forward to another Skyrim or Dragon Age. Instead I have a cross between Shadows of Mordor and Demon Souls. Now the game looks good, but the graphics are not up to today's standards - it feels like the graphics are 2-3 years older. The storyline is nice and interesting, but it plods through in a lot of areas. The landscapes are great - the horseback riding is great - the boat/sailing controls are great. That is all that is great. The fighting is downright dreadful. It is that Shadows/Demon Souls duck, bob, weave type of fighting. That PVP type of warfare that just is frustrating. The spells are super weak and it takes forever to level them up - leveling is super hard in this game and after many hours you may find that you still are in the single digit levels - money making is super hard and you have to spend every cent on repairs since every time you use your weapon it gets damaged (ridiculous) - fast travel is a joke since you have to travel to a fast travel sign to access another one - healing potions are all heal over time and they do not heal for very much, unless you level those skills, but leveling is so hard and to level the potions you have to ignore the fighting skills. Travelling the world is frustrating also. You have a single level character in what you believe is a single level area and you end up running into creatures more than twice your level. There are a lot of things that one-shot you. You will die a lot - ala Demon Souls- and this is not what an RPG is supposed to have. Leveling is so hard and slow that you cannot go out and gain skills, and levels, and come back to refight that monster that just killed you. Fighting monsters gives very minimum experience, so it really is not worth the effort at times. Each and every fight is exactly the same - like Shadows of Mordur. You will never build up bigger and better skills like other RPGs and enhance your character for bigger creatures. It will always be hit, dodge, hit, dodge, hit, dodge, etc - which has no replay value at all and is not fun at all. Dying is constant. Way too much for an RPG. And the horribly long time for the game to reload after a death adds to the frustration. For fans of Witcher, Demon Souls, Dark Souls, and those who want that same over and over Shadows of Mordur with more story. Not for RPG fans of Skyrim or Dragon Age types of games.

The graphics look great, the game play however is a bit wonky. When it comes to looting items and trying to mount your horse, I find myself running around the horse looking at it mashing X to attempt to ride - or when trying to loot or harvest it is the same running around looking at the the item mashing X until the game recognizes what I am trying to do.

The Witcher 3 is an amazing RPG. They took the best elements from The Witcher and The Witcher 2 and combined them with a bunch of improvements to make an amazingly detailed open world RPG. The post-release support has been great as well, with free content being added almost continuously since launch.

I am still playing the Witcher 3 after getting it for Christmas. To start, it's a must-play game for anyone that enjoys the character development that goes along with a large RPG. I will say that at time there were bugs where the game didn't recognize I had found a chest or the game crashed all together. However, despite this, the game is 100% worth playing

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He said it started out kind of slow, but now when he has the chance, he plays until I force him to stop. He stayed up all night playing it the other day and the man likes his sleep. I think that means it's a pretty good game!

I absolutely loved The Witcher 2 and couldn't wait to get my hands on The Witcher 3. This improves upon everything in The Witcher 2. The open world is fantastic and beautiful. It's almost overwhelming how much stuff you have to do in these massive worlds. Would highly recommend this to any action RPG fan. CDPR outdid themselves with this one!

I played this last year and it is probably the only game where the story really stuck with me and I really loved every character with their unique personalities. I was surprised to enjoy crafting different bombs to use on enemies. There is nothing like it and if you haven’t played this yet, I feel bad for you.

I was salty when people said that this game was better than Fallout 4, and even though I will still hold Fallout on a pedestal, I completely understand the hype. This game surprised me with how phenomenal it is. Even if it looks like you would not be interested in this title, you need to give it a try.

    Best game of the century

This game is breathtaking and so incredible, playing it was by far one of the best experiences I've ever had in my life. I can't believe what an incredible value it is, 20$ for the game and its DLCs which, let's be honest, might as well be two whole extra games. The graphics are from 2015 and are still mind blowing going into 2019, the narrative is completely fascinating and the characters are all so interesting and help push the story so far. The choices you make in this game are so difficult because this game really makes you feel something, and the choices have actual impact on the world around you and the endings. The card game within this game, Gwent, was also so fun to the point that they made it into its own game because it became so popular. Even the soundtrack is a gift. It's just brilliant. Everything in this game is thoroughly immersive and I can't say enough good things about it.

One of the best games that I've had the pleasure of playing in a long time. Everything from the story to the depth of the world, from the characters to the soundtrack, is amazing in every sense of the word. A true gem and my current Game of the Year. Don't miss out on this incredible title!

Witcher 3 is the latest installment of the Witcher franchise. Best game ever...a story that pulls you in and characters you actually start to care for. Game play is smooth, very easy to learn the controls and they are laid out in a way that's easy to remember. Well worth it!
