I've put a lot of hours into this game and I am only scratching the surface. There's so much to do and explore you can find yourself getting lost in the world the developers have built. Be prepared to make decisions that will have an impact on your story but you won't know what they've done until hours later (aka own your decisions). +Story +Graphics +Gameplay -Framerate (sometimes) -Camera (sometimes)

I had heard a lot about this game before it came out but I had never played any of The Witcher series prior to this one. I watched a recap of the first two then jumped straight into this game. The visuals and landscapes are absolutely beautiful, and the open world of the game will keep you busy for hours. It's a MUST HAVE game for 2015, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone that likes RPG games.

Witcher 3 is my GOTY by far. The story is exemplary, but it definitely keeps your attention. The characters and combat system is what the game is about. The majority of the game takes place in what is considered Act 1 with the next two acts comprising what inwould consider the end of the game. I have logged over a hundred hours in this with the fun sidequests and just overall taking in the landscape.

Overall a very nice game, graphics are nice on PS4, and the combat system is fun, interesting storyline as well. One cons is the camera system is kind of moving too fast for me.

This game keeps sucking me in! I am a massive world gamer(as in, I love massive, open world games of which are brimming with awesome stuff to do and interesting details of which other games would overlook due to these things being seen as "not so necessary") This game has so much going on, from main quests to sicker-than-average side quests to dudes trying to rob your coins by sending crying kids who ask you to follow them down deserted alleyways, it can be literally overwhelming to the point your just doing stuff for the sake of seeing what will happen, or moving from one location to the next just to see what beautiful vista lies over the next ridge. It's kinda like life! The detail is ridiculous, especially the weather(graphics are off the hook, although the framerate can be annoying, though I have yet to update and heard that fixes it) The story is all over the place, and it is cool, but to really enjoy this game you somewhat have to disconnect yourself from the "hurry hurry you've gotta follow this trail!" and just go explore some stuff and see what you find to really get the best experience out of this 'un(and you should think! Thinking is required for this game if you want happy outcomes). The combat's awesome, youll be fighting baddies similar to the variety and difficulty of dark souls. The combat gives you plenty of options, especially as you begin to level up further into the story. It reminds me of Fable's combat system, except more tuned and more cautious(your character is not omnipresent; you can die fairly easy if your not on your toes in a fight) The MAP IS HUGE. Do not let the intoduction area map fool you. It's HUGE. HUGE. This is a roleplaying game! No, not a build-your-own-adventurer-from-the-womb-up game. You are a particular dude, and this dude is a monster slaying genetically attuned evil-killer who'se later into his life, meaning that he has done ALOT of stuff prior to this game. Unless you've invested in the story via the two previous games(or even better the series of novels), you are going to be very confused about who people are when you meet them, why your character knows them already, or why they are important. Luckily the game gives an awesome glossary to get you up to speed and tons of dialogue options, so I found this a plus(like being dropped into a ballad and finding it more interesting since you don't know the setting or characters, learning while the story is going). This game is rife with intensive subjects, wartorn landscapes, dead bodies, various peoples and village communities, outcasts, warlords, and a plethora of both beautiful and disturbingly horrific monsters and tales to be unravelled by the witcher. Be prepared for some 'a that "ye olde english" story setting. Get it. Also, on a packaging note, upon opening the game you are swarmed by content, including a 31-track OST CD, stickers(awe yeah, wolf's head), an artistic map of the game world, a universe compendium booklet, and a note thanking you for buying their game from the developers, that also tells about some major DLC content that costs.....oh...nothing? Wow! I find this game to be a work of true digital and physical craftmanship. BUY IT.

Having never played the series before was skeptical but there is no need to have played the first two games. This is one of the best open world action RPGs out there for new systems. Definitely have to be on your toes when fighting but very fun combat system and loads of things to do. If you're on the fence about getting this game just do yourself a favor and buy it.

If you like deep RPGs that are story and (relevant) content heavy, but that still offer a level of as much simplicity or complexity as you might like, get this game! It has so much to offer in terms of open world exploration, narrative, quests, the minigame Gwent, and more. This game can be played as a hack-and-slash as well as a strategy game through the use (or not) of potions, sword oils, signs (spells), etc., depending on the difficulty you select. This game requires little prior knowledge of the previous games or the books that the series is based on, it's easy enough to get into without much investment. Quests are short enough that you can get a few done in a couple hours but long and numerous enough to keep you engaged and coming back for tens and even hundreds of hours. Also, CDPR has given out 15 DLC for free, and are coming out with the 16th and final free DLC soon. If you want to support a gaming company that is truly in touch with its fans, buy this game!

This game is a game I can not put down. I am only halfway through it, but I'm enjoying every minute. I haven't played either of the previous games in the series, but I don't feel lost as far as the story. Great story by the way and great gameplay. A lot of variation as far as quests and things to do. Overall a great game that I will be playing for a while.

The Witcher 3 is by far the game of the year. If you like games such as Skyrim and other similar type games then this game will not disappoint. The story line of the game is entertaining and there are so many things to do when not playing story mode. I cannot wait for any expansion DLC in order to spend another 30 hrs or so. The graphics are amazing.

The graphics are awesome. This is an open world game with tons to do and by looking at the map (I haven't played very long) this game looks huge. Might not want to play around kids due to some nudity and sometiems cutting limbs off of people and monsters. Also Gameinformer gave it a 9.75/10 rating for those of you who are into ratings and whatnot.

Preordered the game and waited over a year for its release. It has been worth the wait. A learning curve for the controls but so far getting the hang for it. Graphics on the PS 4 are excellent and story is very good so far. No trouble loading. Only have played a few hours but it will take sometime to finish if you do everything. Great game so far!

The Witcher 3 feel tailor made for me - and when you sit down and play it and you find yourself spending hours and hours doing side quests, without even realizing that you are doing just mere side quests, because the story has taken hold of you and you aren't even thinking about your level, you'll feel that it is tailor made just for you as well.

I didn't know what to expect going into this game. I've played both previous Witcher games, but neither to the end, and I was not impressed with the pacing or combat from the first game. The Witcher 3 fixes that with a much more intuitive and "active" combat style in the vein of Dark Souls. The controls are not as fluid as I would like them to be, and some of the mechanics like alchemy and crafting are not explained very well in-game. Thankfully, there are plenty of online resources that help with this, and overall, I have really enjoyed the game so far.

I thought Skyrim and Dragon Age Inquisition were great but this game is a part of that group. The visuals on console are impressive. The gameplay is addicting. Everything from the crafting, to the battle system. Everything sucks you in. I think any RPG fan should try this game. You wont be sorry. Oh and thanks to Best Buy for the steelbook.

The Witcher 3 is a fantasy RPG that has an in depth combat system, a vast open world with plenty to explore, a wide variety of enemys and an exceptional ability to tell a beautiful story. While this game does have it's few flaws, it more than makes up for those few by the sheer depth and close attention to detail of this game. CD Projekt Red has put a lot of love into the development of this game and right when you first open the game case you can immediately tell. Every copy of the Witcher 3 comes with a compendium, stickers, a map, the game soundtrack, and even a thankyou card from the developers! They have even decided to release quite a few DLC's that are absolutely free! This game sets a new standard for the video game market and deserves the praise. They have made a game that deserves the title of masterpiece. Get this game and play it before you are out of the loop, it is not something to miss.

Perfect blend of action, story, graphics, controls, and a massive story. The inventory/quest lists are well organized as well. This is just a well done true next gen game. I've never played previous games in the series but felt comfortable just jumping in into this one. Very glad I did, this will be a game that can be revisited often

Not much to say here except this is one of the best games ever made! It is a little glitchy but that is to be expected with a game world of this magnitude, equal to if not greater than Skyrim. Combat takes a little time to get used to but worth it and rewarding. It pays to explore! if you haven't picked this game up then you should!

The Witcher is quite possibly the best game I've played on PS4. The visuals, voice acting and story are all top notch. I spent close to a hundred hours exploring this game's world and could easily have devoted more of my time. The dlc expansions are also great and only further enhance what is a truly terrific game.

This is the first Witcher game I have played. If you are in to this type of game (fallout, farcry etc.) then you must play this. The depth of the story and lore in the world is amazing. The combat is still fun after 150 hours of play. It is a great studio that keeps updating the game and adding to a historically great game.
