I played it for a few hours and was not impressed. However, I had just logged 60+ hours playing Octopath Traveler which is an excellent RPG!

Decent port of a DS classic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As others have mentioned, the controls on this new Switch port are not the greatest. A lot of the combat strategy from the original DS version has been reduced to randomly tapping/swiping your finger across the Switch touchscreen. The graphics have been upgraded and look great, and the remixed soundtrack is awesome. The Switch version is probably the best way to play TWEWY for the first time in 2018.

I'd recommend buying a stylus and playing in handheld mode. Game felt way better and more like the ds version after I did that.

If you played the original on DS, you'll see some things that work a bit better for the DS. Other than that, it's a hidden gem in almost every sense of the word.

Good rpg with one major flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a port of a cult classic 3ds game. The game is near identical which is not a negative. The controls are very bad in docked mode due to how it uses the joy cons. handheld is great however.
