My lower back was hurting so much for a week straight that I had to splurge and order this Theragun to work and loosen the knots in my body. I was able to apply easily it to myself on my lower extremity. It does take another person to help apply it on my upper back, shoulder area to get the best effective result. My brother had the third generation which I had tested and loved. When I looked online for the name brand, I saw that there was a 4th generation, more expensive, but quieter. I tend to get the most updated version of a product. Some people who are ticklish do not care for this product. If you get the chance to test it out, do so before spending a substantial amount of money. I did and I love it!
