Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Theragun mini's portability, long battery life, and powerful performance despite its compact size. Many appreciate its effectiveness in muscle relief and the quality of the massage, although some find the price point high and wish it included more attachments. The device's weight and quiet operation are also frequently praised. A few users noted challenges with the grip and the intensity of the massage pressure.

    Great First Percussive Massager

I’ve never owned a product like the Theragun Mini – but now I don’t see how I can live without one. The build quality is exquisite – a soft touch finish, weighty, and sturdy. The shape and design are easy in the hand and generally easy to wield. I was worried about how loud the unit would be, so I first tested it out with the door closed in the middle of the day. Family reported not even hearing anything. I used it in the evening with a sleeping toddler just down the hallway – no problem! It’s not silent, but it’s much quieter than I expected. People in the same room would notice it on, but in the next room with background noise, probably not. The first time I used it on some sore muscles were a little startling. Moving it across the back, the feeling quickly shifted from jarring to a very calming deep muscle massage. I’ve always enjoyed deep tissue massages and this fell into a similar realm of therapy, strangely with seemingly less discomfort. I wouldn’t call myself an athlete or an expert in percussive therapy. However, as a dad and full-time employee – my daily aches and pains have never melted away so fast.

    Pain Relief On The Go!

Keys check, cell phone check, wallet check, Theragun Mini check! If you suffer any muscle or back pain, it will become that essential! The Theragun G3 was my first Theragun and I was a believer after my first use. The Mini now gives me the ability to easily travel with my Theragun and have relief anytime. I like to mountain bike and my ambitions of how far I can go in my mind, are further than my body and muscles want to! I had an experience with muscle cramping from riding to far on a hot day, the mini would have been a lifesaver If I had it at the time. The Mini comes with a nice travel pouch, one attachment and works with all the attachments from my G3. The Mini, just like my G3 feels very well made. The mini has 3 speed settings and low is perfect for doing your neck. The G3 only has 2 speeds and even the lowest speed could be a little to hard for some people when doing sensitive areas. The Mini is considerably quieter than my G3, but still has the power to loosen you up. The Theragun Mini gives you piece of mind that no matter where you are or what you’re doing, you always have muscle or back pain relief at your reach!

    Nice little muscle pounder!

I asked to receive this product because I have a full size massage gun of another brand that I use at home and it really pounds the muscles really nicely and can reach my back when I lay down on the bed, so I wanted to try a smaller version to take with me to work. So, when I received the Theragun Mini, it was in a nice boxed package. It was inside the carrying case and the charger that plugs into the wall and the instruction booklet were underneath. My first impression for a “mini” was that the box was heavy. Once I picked up the unit, I still thought this was heavy for a travel mini edition, but was willing to give it a try during the week going to work. I work in a lab hunched over a computer and on a lab bench day after day, so the side muscles on my neck, my trapezius muscles from my neck to my shoulders, and then going down each side of my back on each side of my spine hurts every day. Because of social distancing, I have not been able to give myself the TLC I need, like a massage, or a chiropractic adjustment, or go to physical therapy, so I thought that this might help relieve some of the tightness that builds up during the day. The unit is compact and much smaller than a regular sized unit, and it is somewhat lighter, but I don’t think that it is light enough. Holding it for anything more than 5 minutes up near your shoulder and neck and your arms are tired. To turn on the unit, there is a button on one side and you hold it down until the unit starts on the first speed as indicated by the first light. To go to the second and third speed, you press the button down once for each speed. The power of the unit is wonderful, the first speed is my favorite, the second and third are just fast and faster. In my opinion, for a travel mini, I think they could have saved some money and weight of the unit if they just offered a satisfying one speed. At all three speeds, the unit is not noisy at all and you can have a conversation with someone while using it. Probably cannot have a phone conference because it would come through as interference, but a conversation at normal speaking volume would be no problem at all. To shut the unit off, press the same button on the side and hold it until the unit stops moving and all the lights go off. When using it at the office, I did find it difficult to reach parts of my back with the unit having limited reach, so that was a drawback. Too bad there was not a telescoping recessed hide-away handle that would allow a further reach. That would have been awesome. The other thing that that I noticed when taking it to work and back is that there was no place in the carrying case to stow the charger. Where do you put that when traveling? It would have been nice to put it in the same carrying case, like a pocket on the outside, but at least they put their brand name on the charging unit, so when in a bag full of other chargers, at least you can identify it. Overall, a strong, useful, quiet, small, unit that will help anyone that has muscle pain and can’t or don’t have time for a massage to provide muscle relief. Really nice and I am glad I asked for it.

My favorite thing I've ever purchased. The charge lasts an extremely long time and charges quickly when you need to. It is very strong and works well even for being the mini size. The three speeds are enough for what it does. I love taking it traveling and keeping on my bedside for RLS.

    Wife’s Theragun mini review

I run before going to work, so I would massage on the train (or at work, especially after a long day at work / I am an OT), due to lack of time, but the massager I used was loud. I researched for a mini massager for almost a year, and even bought one (different brand) but it was not as powerful. It also would stop operating when I pressed hard against my body. I continued my research and found the Theragun mini to fit my need, which was the convenience, quietness, light-weight but is as powerful as my other loud/ heavy massager. I take my mini Theragun with me everywhere I go. It fits inside my travel pouch. The only downside is the price. I received my theragun mini as a gift from my husband and daughter. I truly love this machine.

My first impression after picking it up was that it still felt sturdy and well built even though it’s much smaller and not the typical massage gun form factor. It’s still easy to hold on to and apply pressure evenly. The most impressive thing to me is how quiet it is while still packing a punch. You could easily use this while watching tv, getting ready for bed, or even at work, without being too loud. You don’t need to set aside dedicated time to use the Theragun because it’s not a distraction. I know I’ll use it so much more because I can leave it out and loosen up whenever I need to. The smaller size makes this an extremely portable item. This could easily be packed to take on the road without sacrificing too much space. You could even stash it on your carry on to loosen up after (or maybe even during) a long flight. Overall, the quiet operation and portable form factor make this a device I know I’ll be using most days. There are trade offs to be made between the Theragun models that might vary by your level of fitness intensity, but it’s hard to ignore the value of the Mini!

I don’t use this for post workout recovery, I have lower back pain and my physician recommended I try deep tissue massages, but with COVID I couldn’t get treatment. Ordered online from Best Buy, did the drive through pick up, got home and charged it. I use this several times a week when I get flare ups and this helps relax the muscles in my lower back allowing me to move around without a lot of pain. Definitely recommend Theragun products, although not inexpensive you’re paying for reliability. I initially ordered a massager online because I wanted to stay in the $100-$150 price range. It lasted one 30 min treatment. This Theragun is worth the extra money.

Fantastic device. Feels wonderful especially on the feet! I use it after a workout on my thighs and hamstrings. I have many massage devices, but this one really gets in there the most. Kind of like a jack-hammer (but in a good way). Their website shows you how you can use the too for many things (thighs, inner thigh, hamstrings, hands, etc.). And it you have a Best Buy near you, you won't have to pay to return it if you don't like it. Here is the link to the videos on their site: https://www.theragun.com/us/en-us/howto/pain-and-ailments/?gclid=CjwKCAjw57b3BRBlEiwA1ImytoId_4LmAAQrOtdt2RhF1AiYi2mJL-I4FQ-7hqlPyl1Zv6BA9gqdURoCXmwQAvD_BwE

This is another quality product by Theragun. I also have the G3 Pro, and for a while I thought I didn't need this. However, it's a bit difficult carrying the G3 Pro everywhere. In contrast, this unit comes with nice soft case and you can put it in a backpack for easy use. When I first unpacked it, it was larger than I expected. However, after you use it for about 5 minutes, you realize that it's actually the perfect size. It's kind of like using a thicker carpenter pencil instead of a standard cylindrical one. The thicker pencil is easier to hold. So it is with this Theragun Mini. Also, the new motor system is noticeably quieter.

We took this to our trip to New Zealand. We knew we would be doing a lot of hikes during our trip. This was perfect as it was small and light enough to pack but, was still very powerful and effective in massaging our tired legs at the end of each day.

We like it so far but keep in mind its for small application use. The gun is easy to use and holda a good charge. It has nice features with 3 settings for speed. It doesn't come with any extra heads thou. Overall for entry level and basic massage it is a good choice.

Loosen and massage tight muscles anywhere. Ergonomic and intuitive design, although probably worth reading the manual. There are 3 settings, accessible through the power button. Suggest starting with the lowest power first, since the highest power can give you quite a pounding. Holds its charge well, and the included charging cable can easily be packed with the device for transport.

Listen I was stoked on these things for a good couple months during quarantine. I didn’t have the stones to spend 400+ on a nice luxury whatever model. This thing caught my eye and at a lower (still high) price. Things perfect hits hard enough and the shape lets you get basically all around. Just buy it if your thinking about it it’s like having a masseuse in your gym bag.

This product is amazing. I went on a little hike the day I purchased this. Charged it at home and took it with me. Small enough to not take too much space in my bag so I was able to get snacks. My muscles in my calf started to tighten up after the long hike so I took the machine out to use. This thing works wonders. Its silent so it wasnt too noticeable when other hikers saw me take it out. I love this machine. I will definitely be getting one for my girlfriend. Highly recommended for the average person that gets muscle soreness early into normal walks.

The theragun mini is the perfect blend of massage therapy and convenience. Much smaller than some other products on the market, but similar results. Quieter than similar devices I have used. I am going to bring this with me to use after long races when I need a percussive therapy recovery.

This is absolutely worth the money. You honestly don't any of the larger, more powerful versions of any of these concussive therapy massagers unless you use it for a profession or some serious medical need for one. As a sports performance coach and trainer, I use one of these for myself or let my athletes use it to help with warm-ups and/or recovery. My fiance also loves using ours after work. The travel-sized unit is my personal favorite because it's portable, effective, and doesn't need to be charged too often.

This theragun has been awesome for me. I am a pretty active individual and it is really nice that it fits in any bag without taking up much space. Incredibly easy to use and the battery life very good. The charge last me weeks even with using it just about everyday. It doesn’t come with the same settings as the standard theragun, but it does more than enough for me.
