As a first-time user of Theragun, I did not know what to expect but I have mostly a positive impression of it. It is obviously well constructed, and a great deal of thought went into the shape, allowing for ease of use in just about any position you can find. It is a bit heavier that I thought it would be, so I need to take a break with the grip in certain positions. I have used it for a maximum of about 20 minutes at a time, and they claim the battery life is a couple of hours, so I cannot speak to that claim. It has two interchangeable heads, and I find the bigger one to be the minimum size for my taste. I briefly tried the smaller one, and it was just too concentrated in a small spot to be a relief - it was painful to me. I would have preferred a larger second head to be used in more sensitive areas. The app is straightforward, and it has much more functionality than I would ever use, but some may find it fits their needs. I would rather it be more complete and not use all the things it offers rather than the other way around. It has multiple speeds, but for me, the slowest speed feels the best. Your mileage may vary. It also comes with cards (a relief for those of us who like things in writing versus on-line) to help you with the various things it can do. I am still experimenting with them and with different speeds and pressures. The biggest negative I have is that it does not have a carry /storage case, so I am checking online to see if someone offers a generic one. As I gain more experience, I will come back and report, but for now, I recommend this unit, even if you are a beginner.

TLDR: FDA Registered Massage Gun, FDA Registered, USB-C wire supplied for recharges, percussive, 2 hour per Li-Ion battery charge, 5 speeds, 2,400 percussions per minute on high speed, triangle handles allows reach to more areas, optional app allows recovery plans, either Ball or Dampener contact points, quiet motor, ruggedized exterior and corners, Model TG0004350-1A10, weighs 2 lbs, 1 year warranty. No wall adapter supplied to charge.
The Theragun Prime 6th generation (TP6) is a hefty device that allows holding it in several areas to reach sore points due to the triangular design of the handle. With this configuration one can use it without the usual strain on the wrist or arms for slightly longer time before needing to take a break; that is per my opinion of course.
With the triangular shape it is comfortable touse to massage lower back, hips, the backs of legs and other spots that would be awkward and possibly painful to reach with simple “gun shaped” or wand held devices. The firm indicates there is less wrist strain with the triangular shape of the handle.
There are 5 speed settings indicated by a row of 5 LED points on the top of the percussion section. The lowest to the highest with the lowest being very good and I assume as one gets acclimated to using and the device and the relief it offers other higher speeds will be tried.
It arrives with 2 contact heads that actually do the percussive hitting of your sore spots. They securely attach and work differently but effectively. Honestly, either one is good for my use. Also included are several cards with illustrations to assist in using the TP6 to best effect.
The exterior is a grippy rubberized casing with all corners of the triangular shape reinforced with extra thickness. The firm supplies a video on their website showing that even if dropped from a 10 foot distance it will not be damaged. It does make an oscillating humming sound when in use but over time this will be acclimated to and won't be too annoying for most users.
I charged it up using my USB phone chargers I have in 2 rooms. It arrived almost fully charged since the charge activity LED went out in less than an 20 minute time span. Therabody supplies a USB C to USB C wire. The firm claims the charge lasts for 2 hours of use. I would not dispute that but I have not used it for 2 hours continuously. I find it offers relief from soreness and muscle ache in minutes when I use it. My wife also says it is beneficial the next day after she takes a cycle class or one of the strength classes at our local large fitness resort gym.
The TP6 also offers a free app called Access Coach by Therabody which allows a user to input desired recovery goals, your health date and what activity the user engages in to formulate a recovery plan using the TP6. It connects to the TP6 via bluetooth.
It offers a soothing massage on low; I have tried the faster settings and they also work but I prefer the low setting. I use the Dampener contact attachment over the Standard Ball since it is wider and has a greater contact area.
I recommend it to anyone seeking some muscle soreness relief.

Powerful Percussive Relief

This is my 3rd Theragun & this Prime Massage is without doubt the best model so far. I’ve been hooked on Theragun since I got the Mini about 5 years ago followed by the Relief Gun just a couple of years ago.
We’re a family of amateur athletes (walkers, joggers, marathoners, ultra-runners, & bodybuilders). A couple of us have massage therapy backgrounds; so, we’re big believers in the benefits of manual muscle manipulation. But with the exception of professional athletes & the wealthy, few have access to a massage therapist 24/7. Enter the Theragun. For us, percussive massage has proven to be a welcome supplement to manual massage, & this Prime 6th-gen massage gun is a winner. It’s a littler heavier than my older Relief gun but with the added weight comes a grippier handle which makes it easier to maneuver. It feels much sturdier & more substantial than either the Relief or the Mini.
This Prime gun came with 2 attachments: The Standard Ball for total body & general tension reduction & the Dampener, which has a wider & softer head for more sensitive areas.
We use it after almost every run/workout. I’m convinced that it helps ward off plantar fasciitis; so, I regularly use it on the bottom of my feet & heels & all the way up to the top of my calves. I find that if I limit any increases in my running routine to no more than 10% of my normal distance & keep up with my Theragun post-run massage maintenance, I’m able to keep all plantar problems at bay.
My sister has had a nagging lower calf injury for several months; so, she used the Theragun over the last week & feels better already. But she has smaller hands & feels that the Prime is a little big & heavy for her; so, she’s going to try the older smaller & lighter Relief model instead.
Theragun also has a helpful App to guide you with recovery plans based on your physical activities & fitness goals. I used the App in the beginning, but once I got into my own routine & discovered what works best for me, I rarely use the App anymore. My Theragun usage is pretty simple after a workout. After a long run, in addition to using it on my lower extremities, I use it on my quads & IT band, etc. After an upper body workout, I use it on my bis, tris, shoulders, forearms & sometimes my lats, but I avoid the kidney area. I also avoid the neck & traps since that rattles my teeth. Overall, this is a powerful recovery tool that’s simple to operate & effective for relief of tired or sore muscles.

Therabody makes some of the best wellness products

Honestly speaking, It should go without writing or saying that Therabody is very well known for their incredible handheld and portable massage devices. With each generation of products, the improvements on the devices are noticeable but the results on your body are absolutely prevalent. The triangular shape of the Theragun prime is incredibly well built and ergonomic so it is very easy to hold for longer massage sessions. I have the 4th generation prime and the new 6th generation is audibly quieter (which was never really an issue for me). It also has more reinforce corners and a more durable rubber so should you accidentally drop it, the device should continue working. This device comes with (2) attachments, one being a dampener for more sensitive muscles which does a phenomenal job on aches and pains. It also comes with a standard ball which is good for all muscle groups. Depending on my workout I will swap between the two which work well. I have used these daily and genuinely feel strong relief post workouts. This also has a really neat companion app that works via bluetooth which provide you with personalized recommendations. While the app works great and it does offer nice recommendations, I find that I do not use it simply because I know where my aches and pains are by feel.
Overall, like all Therabody products past and present, these are incredible devices and I cannot recommend them enough.

Incredible Upgrade from Previous Version

The Theragun Prime (6th Generation) is a definite upgrade from the previous version that I had been using for many years. The Theragun Prime (6th Generation) helps relieve pain and speeds up recovery from working out, or simply the stress from a long day sitting in the office working. The shape and form of the new version makes it much easier for reaching those tight muscles in your back. While it doesn't look a whole lot different, these small adjustments in design are very noticeable. The vibration of the 6th generation of the Theragun Prime is significantly smoother than the older version, providing a more therapeutic affect on tight muscles etc. It loosens up muscles and helps you get on with your day. If your someone who enjoys to run or workout regularly, but feels a tighness in your muscles you'll definitely benefit from the Theragun Prime (6th Generation). If you're someone who spends long hours sitting at a desk working, you'll also feel the benefit too. Most of us are probably doing both.

This theragun came nicely packaged from my local carrier. Unboxing was simple, and the gun itself comes with a nice case to keep it stored away or just all together. Inside the case is the theragun , charging cable, another head , and some pamphlets. Really though I’m not interested in the pamphlet or anything except how does this theragun perform and will it help my body recover and help my muscles feel relaxed. I’m not a pro on massagers I do have a massage chair that we use from time to time but it’s a little rough and hurts a bit and while some might like this I prefer a more constant sustainable pressure that doesn’t hurt, The theragun hits the the spot with five speeds so I can easily pick and choose how much pressure to apply. Using the gun is really easy it’s light enough for me to hold for extended periods although the vibration does wear me out after a while. Another great thing is the motor is super quiet and I was expecting some noise considering the power of this gun. Recovery was not felt I hit my thighs and shoulders for 15 min and I was expecting to be a little sore the next day but I felt great like I could use this everyday. Overall I really love this and thank you for including a case for it. Highly recommend
