I needed to see if there was anything on my NVR HDD to determine what problem I was having. This reader made my task very easy. Compatible with many drives.

Drive doc works great, USB 3.0 and dual slots help with many tasks such as cloning disks. Much easier than breaking open the computer and its portable too.

It seems to be a good deal but it ruined a 996 gig SSD drive and corrupting all my data by creating a power failure when plugging in a second drive. There is no documentation saying you cannot hot swap drives and/or plug in a second one for use while the first is running. Now I never hot swap any drives because of years of lost data.

Works great for transferring information as a docking station but it has to be a 3.0 USB connection it is not back written for 2.0 grade transfers rate

this has been great ! my old desktop died on me and I was able to get all my pictures and videos from my hard drive, what a life saver

Connected to my Mac Pro, this allows me to attached external 3.5 bare drives at will for backup. Works exactly as expected. Highly recommend.

The Thermaltake - BlacX Duet Hard Drive Enclosure Docking Station is just what I needed to access my two external hard drives. It works great.

I am quite disappointed with this product. I have had success with 2 Thermaltake laptop cooling pads in the past.so I decided to give this drive docking station a try.Unfortunately, this product kept getting locked up. I bought it when my laptop computer blew up. I disassembled my failing computer to recover the hard drive, bought a new computer, and used this device to access my data files from the recovered hard drive. It would work fine for a while, but then it would lock up, start blinking, and then I couldn't access any data. I then bought a simple cord (SATA to USB) which cost about 20% as much and connected the drive without the Thermaltake drive docking station and have had no problem since. It may not look pretty but it works and the drive docking station doesn't work.

I think this a very good product, very well made and very fast, USB 3.0 and is compact

gave us the opportunity to repurpose some old unused hard drives. Plug and play just like flash drives, but physically much bigger.

Computer crashed. Hard drive was intact. The Thermaltake unit allow me to move data from the old drive and restore it to the new computer.

I absolutely love this product. It comes in handy when I’m trying to wipe data off of old hard drives before selling them.

Great if you get one that works. This thing is loaded with issues that make it stop mounting drives even though it powers on. Acts as if it doesn’t fully power the drives. I’ve seen these work and not work. Convenient and useful when they do work.

This unit worked well , not hard to use . I used it on several drives. I was able to extract all the files I wanted with ease.

While I ended up not needing to use this product, the instructions were clear-cut. It would have been an easy-to-use product.

My office bookkeeping computer suffered a motherboard failure and all of my tax info had to be recovered, did the job effortlessly.
