Great for full size HD's

I returned it because those were the disks I needed to use. The regular HD's worked as advertised. It's a good company and unit is well made just not what I needed at the time.

Wrong unit for old drives

Just trying it out
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only bought this item to see if my desktop HDD from Seagate failed because of a bad chassy/connection and I needed it for trouble shooting. I was optimistic but to no avail. My HDD has failed not because of this item but I believe it just failed. I'm looking forward to purchasing another HDD to replace my old one that failed and see if this is worth the money.

Phenomenal for data transfer workflow on your desk

This takes SATA so if you have older IDE drives you’ll need another device. But if your unsure of whether or not yours is SATA, rule of thumb - if your hard drive is 15 years old or more from the time of this review it is probably IDE. This also accepts smaller laptop-sized hard drives.
