As a computer tech I would highly recommend this if you're constantly swapping information off drives

I needed to copy data from an old workstation and this was the perfect device for it. Works as designed.

It works great right out of the box. I Mabel to you several different drives on it and it all works fine

I had a drive with a bad boot sector and this utility found and mounted it right away. The music, text and picture files transferred to the new drives easily but the zip archives were corrupt. And after moving about 25% of the music files were corrupted. I fixed those with chkdsk and with fileassassin I was able to move the zip archives to the new drive and open them successfully. So while it worked it worked well..... after getting my files it started spontaneously mounting and dismounting itself kind of like when an android charging port goes bad. If I would unplug it the machine would recognize the drive, but only for a second before it would dismount. I returned it and exchanged it for the insignia brand.

I needed to move data from a drive out of a PC that crashed and did not want to mess with installing it in my PC. This dock was a little more than I set out to spend. I think that's only because it has duel drive slots and works with both desktop and laptop drives which is nice. The dock worked like a charm and now serves as an external drive.

It was an easy setup and worked great for cloning my drive.

I originally had the single docking station but got me an upgraded one now. Double stations...Gotta love it

Just remove your old Hard Drive from a malfunctioning PC and pop it into this device. The older drive then becomes an "external drive" to your new PC or laptop. Old files -- if available -- can then be accessed and transferred to the new PC. It works. It's essential if you have older hard drives with valuable data. Highly recommended

It's easy to install and operate. I had no idea how useful it would be to make my computer work faster!

This will hold one or two drives of either laptop or desktop size. I wouldn't use it as a full time connection since the drives are exposed, but for cloning or reformatting, it's perfect. It was marked down to about $25 when I bought, and that's a reasonable price. It's a bit bulky and users a big power supply brick.

I took this out of the box and was up and running in 3 minutes! Very easy to use. Quick and simple.

I bought this to utilize some SATA hard drives I had switched to SSD drives on my home built. It worked great, I had all of my music on one and all my Windows backup on another, then about I don't know 3 months ago - kaput, just stopped working. I thought it was my machine, and it was getting a little long in the tooth ~8 years. Pulled the drives and plugged them into a universal cable I have for fixing friends machines. Both drives fired up. Granted it was only $50, but with 2 kids in college 50 is money. I would do some research and see if you can find another device.
