This works like for what i need it for. There is a power button in the front. The only issue that I have is, I have to leave it plugged into the computer for it not to reload drivers all of the time

Was able to recover some music movies and pictures from a few old HDD's but it had issues sometimes where I would need to plug it in and out (USB) after a reboot . Otherwise working as intended so far.

I am on my second one of this docking stations, the first one dies after a little over a year of use... I use this with my mac in a raid array.

Worked great for transferring all the data from the old (dead motherboard) computer to the new one. Easy hookup and fast transfer of lots of data. Bought it with reward points and saved the fee to have it done professionally.

We used this to save the photos and music from my old desktop with a defunct OS. Was able to get all of my led zep back in my life

This is exactly what I needed when I was trying to recover some old data and transfer some priceless* files from an old computer i needed to get rid of. The hotswapping ability is incredible, and works with nearly any kind of drive I could imagine.

This is a wonderful way to transfer large amounts of data between computers as well as between drives. It is simple plug and play. It also seems to have faster read and write rates with internal hard drives than the dedicated external hard drives I have used.

I needed some extra storage and backup for movies, pictures, music and files. I had some old HDDS kicking around 3TB worth. Instead of dropping a $100 plus on a new external drive for back I bought this instead. Its been working great for my storage needs.

I bought this because I had a couple extra hard drives sitting around that weren't being used. I put them in and got them partitioned and it worked perfectly! I now have 4TB attached to my network to stream music and videos to any device in the house!

With the "duet" feature, cloning drives is simple and fast. The USB 3.0 makes wired cloning fast. I highly recommend this device for anyone who has to frequently clone drives, or even just wants a hot-swappable drive bay nearby their computer for backups.

I have used the hard drive dock to test questionable disk drives and recover data from a drive that would not boot. I am also using it to connect an extra SATA hard drive and several SATA SSD's to my computer. So far the dock has provided flawless operation.

Utilized for a damage hard drive that would not respond in Windows. Slower transfer due to damage to hard drive, but able to get the data off the drive that was needed.

The mother board on my old computer had failed, but the hard drive still worked. Some programs could not be transferred to my new computer, so I am running the old hard drive through this docking station. It does a great job!

Although the body feels cheaply made, it's still a nice little product. I purchased to make multiple back ups a piece of cake. It works just fine in that regard. I worry about the plastic flaps that cover the HD ports though.

When I bought a new desk top I had the contents of my old one transfered to the new one but kept the old drive. I bought this because of its flexibility. Easy to use as well.

After a 4 bay computer died on me I bought this to remove info from the drives. I use it now with the same drives for backups and transfers. It's a little slow but being able to use (4) 2TB drives instead of tossing them was worth the investment.

Makes backups super easy when combined with Acronis. Also great for hot swapping drives for gaming or storage. Can also use in conjunction with NAS to increase drive capacity

I had an old laptop and desktop that I harvested the harddrives from and this was the perfect enclosure to house both simultanously. Works great and is very convenient and cost effective to to still use old drives.
