This product does more than just copy drives. I have used it to restore WD MyBooks and WD Cloud drives. With the right software, which is on the internet, you can make this a very powerful tool.

Includes power cable, which was my problem. Turned my broken computer into an external storage device for my new computer. Glad it was available. Can be used for desktop and laptop hard drives.

Price was good, connected dock, no drivers were installed, eventually Windows 10 recognised it. If I put 2 drives in & ejected 1, both drives disappeared for a while, spoke to Thermaltake who said it shouldn't do that, have replaced it twice, all 3 do the same thing. Also sometimes have to turn the dock off & on to get it to pick up a drive.

Old computer died. My son recommended this to try and retrieve data from old hard drive. He was able to get my files onto laptop and I later transferred it to new computer when it was running.

I was in doubt before acquiring this device, but as soon as I get it installed I was so happy it is working just as I expect. Above all that, the installation is just like 1,2,3. I like it.

It's a convenient option to retrieve data from hard drives or even use them for backup. With the prices of drives dropping to $50 for 1TB this is a must have if you care about your important data.

It is not the best, but it's a lot better than other brands out there. Great to have it when something happens and your main box is down.

I replaced my old enclosure with this docking station, and I love it. It's plug and play, no screws to remove like my old outdated enclosure and it reads and writes very quickly. I'm glad I bought it!

The best solution for using extra drives for storage without the need to purchase external enclosures to house them. Hot swappable with Mac and I am sure with Windows too. Fast and reliable performance.

Bought this to transfer important files, pictures and etc from external hard drive I put everything on since college. It stopped working due to Windows 10 update and I thought I had finally found an easy way to get that information. I was wrong as it wanted to reformat the 3tb drive. Had to go through hoops and whistles to keep that information so I guess in long run information did help me eventually like it was supposed to

With this unit i was also to repurpose 2 hard drives I removed from old DirectTV DVR units (500gb)... reformatted and they works great as backup drives that are removable.

I like it, gets the job done. I wish it had something to cover de hard drives bit more, they feel exposed but is nothing crazy

My old computer suffered a power surge and destroyed the power supply. I had ten years of data on the hard drive and now I am able to access it and transfer what I want to my other devices.

Did exactly what it said it would. I had an extra SATA hard drive from an old tower computer so I pulled all the data from it. I keep this hooked up to my computer and use it as separate storage.

the device was not compatable with the hard drive , so returned for a new hard drive

I purchased this product after having 3 others of the same type. This device has never left me down unlike others of the same type.

It's average. For multiple HDs, this is a good fit, but for me, I found that having a single cable to plug into my PC is better.
