    I tried two of these and neither were recognized by my HP computer that is only 5 months old and has a 3.0 USB port as preferred . I will try something else as I have 3 hard drives to recover.

    only negative issue is it seems to dismount a drive already connected to the computer when you plug a second drive into the other slot. Slots should function as separate slots but not using this unit.
