Yes, the fans spin, but nothing lights up. I've tried everything I've seen online to fix it, but nothing has worked for me. They're now just 3 overpriced fans.

They were quiet at first. A year later, they've become very loud and make a whistling sound.

    Look good, but one flaw

I had a friend with two of the Thermaltake Riing fans in his case, but his were just one color and not RGB like these. I really liked the look of this brand fan and decided to buy this triple pack, which is RGB with a controller. These fans are not loud and do decently to cool my case, but I wish the cables from the fans were longer - it took some less than optimal placement to get these cables to reach the controller with decent-looking cable management. My only real gripe with these fans is that when I wake my PC from sleep, the fan LEDs will come on but quickly turn off, which forces me to open my case to turn them back on. I don't know if there's an easy fix for this issue or not, short of mounting the LED control on the outside of your case.

Beautiful RGB, great cooling, secure mounting

First off, the RGB ring lights on these fans is too beautiful; maybe it just looks especially good in a case like the NZXT Phantom 410, but anyone going for ring lighting on their fans rather than the fan blades being lit will love these. The cooling is wonderful on these fans. Very consistent revolutions as well as up-to-1500 RPM speeds give your chassis quiet yet proficient cooling performance. Most importantly, the fans and fan controller are easy to secure onto your case, as they are given rubber/soft-plastic spacers on the edges. Overall, they really are a solid upgrade to stock chassis fans that I recommend to most PC builders.

Not the best fans but worth every penny

The Thermaltake Riing 3 pack RGB fans added a little zest to my computer by adding a little more color and options to my rig, thus allowing me to showcase the internals. You may see a lot of reviews that the controller that comes with the kit does not keep the settings after a power down of the computer. I experienced that and found the fix was to either plug it directly into the PSU with a molex adapter or change the FAN settings within the BIOS to 100%. I found and researched from other users that initially the controller was not receiving enough power when plugged directly into the motherboard. The fix was to change the power settings on that plug within the bios. All in all it probably won't provide the best airflow, but the configurable led settings is worth it. So therefore I recommend this set of fans for anyone who is in a RGB craze at the moment.

    As Advertised...

These fans are as advertised. They have a 256 color range, only customization form the controller (You are unable to use any software for color control). Coming from the single color blue and white Riing 12 fans, these are the same in all ways except color and how they connect. Remember these are not the plus version with these. You could save the extra money and just buy 3 of the standard color Riing fans but when your build changes, you are not going to be restricted color wise. Not to mention that these fans do indeed move air quite well even in the mid-size case that I have (NZXT H500). Overall, would I spend the extra 50-60 dollars to buy the premium version, no (but that is just me...). These are wonderful fans and work as advertised.

    Very Quiet Great Price

Replaced 2 Corsair fans that would get very load as the CPU temp climbed. These fans remain silent under the heaviest load. Didn't really need 3 fans but added it to the case anyway. The LEDs are a nice touch but you cant really see them under the Corsair radiator. I would recommend these fans if your Mobo has PWM for its fan settings.

This item brings a real cool factor to any rig with a window. However, the price to awesomeness ratio makes this product not worth it... unless you get this item at a great price that is 60% or more off the regular price.

Great fans marred by poor controller.

Let me get this out of the way, these are great fans. However, the controller does not mount to anything on your case. You have to use velcro, the velcro provided is not adequate. Not to mention to change the colors or the modes you have to open your case. There is a newer version of the same fans that is software controller via a usb header on your motherboard. The fans connect to the controller via 5 pin heads. The controller acts as a 4 pin to 5 pin converter, and you can't daisychain the controllers. I have decided to take these fans back to the store and order the newer version on ebay.

    Not quite enough Power

    Posted .

When you have a motherboard that can produce enough power for the light controller this is great, but if not, the fans will be weak and light not that bright as it's all going off of one slot.
